Light beer for playing bass?

Trappist ales are great suggestions. Westmalle happens to be my favorite beer to drink. For playing bass though i'm going to stick to water.
I am a Shiner Bock kinda guy, myself.
It helps me get that rich, full bodied tone.
I'm not so sure any light beer can help with that.

Beer choice is a lot like bass choice, most of us won't like what the rest of us choose and defend our own choices to the last.

Ha Ha --- I guess theres something to be said about this thread ---- I love Swiss Army basses and I also love to try out different beers and IPAs....Just like my basses, I have certain favored settings that I utilize over and over just like with beer of which I have favorites 
I'm an IPA guy, so I have to wait to drink those till after. I do like PBR...

To actually help the OP with his "light" beer request.. I'll add what I consume if I like to enjoy a beverage throughout the entire session without getting too tipsy and start playing sloppy is Amstel light.
It's only 3.5% abv so it's works well for a long stretch. It's also my go to brew for summer jam party's, pig roasts etc. they can be a long day. Especially if you're waiting to play a set.

I brew my own and drink it from my special bass tap.
Have yet to find one I don't like
