This is for amused discussion only as I am a believer and user of the LBA2020 and others soon. Please do not take offense Ive been listening to Zappa and a bit zoned on meds today.

here is a thought::: Do you think one day in the future sound afficionerdos will argue the benefits of processing signals through different AD/DA conversion processes as they do now about the benefits of passing analog signal through gain stages and transformers and such?

Pitch was not the issue, her's was not bad, just no pipes for that mic or any dynamic mic really - really needed something more sensitive that only a good condenser will do- which I had. But some dumb cluck at GC sold her THAT Frakking mic! There was probably a spiff.
Of course when she went to Nashville and started spending big bucks then she listened.

Trying some stuff with the DIVision. Think it'd be a nice add to any pedalboard, def loves being fed with hot signals, and able to deal with them with no added noise. The volume feature is pretty handy, enabling many gain staging options ! Vision knob is interesting too, though i'm more on P with flats side of things.

Yeah pretty pleased with what i'm hearing ! Best friend with the NuVision, adds a nice clarity and thickness and not too much of a good Nuvistor thing syndrom. Using volume knob i can push quite a bit the Fliptop Boost, tasty too. I may add some dirty boost, EQ, a fuzz, and we're good to go !

Thanks to your many DI posts, I've recently ordered a DiVision as well. I wasn't prepared to go down the 'boutique' DI route (I just don't have the funds!), but I felt this was not only a good pedalboard-friendly size, but will afford some of the extra thickness... without spending huge sums.
I have plenty of DI-enabled pedals, as having a bass with 2 outputs means you end up buying 2 of everything... (DSM OCSD, Mini, B7K and Simplifier), but wanted a DI with some unique character instead.

Excited to try it..

I haven't tried either of the DI's yet, but I love the 2020's and Nuvision. I'd wager that both the TI box and Division are phenomenal. Mikey don't make no junk.

I can say the “official treble mod” to the Nuvision is wonderful. It’s been a hot minute since I played with it prior to having the mod done, so I don’t remember exactly how it sounded before. But I remember feeling like the EQ wasn’t terribly effective prior to the mod. Now I feel the EQ is now better tailored to the bass and is a little more effective, particularly in the bass region, and you can get the gain up a bit higher before it begins to distort. The result is a wonderfully warm, punchy little bugger. It can also run at 12v now. Mike says this helps to reduce the noise floor, but I haven’t found noise to be an issue in the very short time I’ve had it.

Treble mod is the way to go ! Still covers a lot of ground on overdriven territory and i do agree, it somehow makes the EQ section more balanced and effective with bass... including lows. Just dig how easy it is to get a slightly saturated tube vibe from the Nuvision, and keep strong mids no matter how you tweak the EQ. Pretty unique pedal imo.

Apparently I had a little bit too much fun last night and went tumbling down the rabbit hole again, I saw low inventory, panicked and I ordered what may have been the last four 2020S’ssss of the current run. Zero remorse.

Now I have the pleasure of figuring out how best to integrate them into my board. Initial planned order is Ken Smith 6 string w/ rounds or Xotic XP-1T 5 string w/ TI flats > BOSS TU-3 > JAM LucyDreamer Bass > 3Leaf Audio Octabvre Mini (you’re doom for size) > MXR M82 > 2020S > 2020S > Cali76 CB > 2020S > 2020S > JAM Ripply Fall Bass > JAM Delay Llama Xtreme > Noble > FOH.

Any red flags? I know that trying them in different spots is going to be the best advice, but I’m looking for the best starting point.

I’d try at least two right before the Noble. Please report back about what four does to the chain as opposed to two. Asking for a friend

There’s no wrong answer, but I like mine best right after my first compressor, which is about halfway through my chain, after drives and my preamp. I hit it a little harder than unity gain with the compressor, and it warms things nicely.
