If you want the P-bass sound but don't need the look, check Yamaha. The BB1025X is probably made at the factory as the Skyline, and BB2025X is boutique grade with a boutique price.
Valenti , gotta check it out. Just e-mailed Valenti.
First class stuff, and he is a good TB member!
Yep, his stuff looks killer.
Don't know where you are in La Belle Province, but you're welcome to come by my place in Mtl and try mine. PM me if you like.
You're in Canada, so I'm not sure if you could get this, but this is an *amazingly* lightweight ESP P/J in the Guitar Center Used section. As in, lighter than my Dingwall, which is about eight pounds at the absolute most. I just returned it because I am so used to my Dingwall that I didn't get on with the feel, but it was a really amazing-sounding and feeling bass.

Just put my American Standard on the postal scale and it weighs in at 9 lbs 4 oz. Not under 9 lbs, but close. If I put hipshot tuners on it would probably end up under 9 lbs.
Is it for sale??....![]()
Nah, I have a custom 4-conductor Nordy pickup to install and an S-1 switch and I'm going to put in a Redeemer and possibly a Stellartone. Making it into a mac-daddy P5.
(Apologies for the run on "ands" in the above sentence. Wanted to sound like a kid listing his Christmas presents.)
I will throw in another +1 for the Valenti bass. #125 is the lightest 5 string I have played. Great custom options and a stand up TB'er.

Any pics of that bass........?
