Limited Edition TRONOGRAPHIC Rusty Box

Would the RB somewhat be similar to the Dug Tech 21 DP3X?
I own a A/O ultra and looking for another flavor, more open/wild.
I think this guy posts here. He built a Rusty Box (or it was some other Traynor amp with the same eq stack) on super steroids and then compares his pre, the RB and the Dug in this video.

Been awhile since anyone's posted here. Hope most of you are still on your Rusty kick. I'm on my second one and it's not going anywhere. But I got a question for y'all. Is anyone having any issues with the switches being really hard to press? My first RB had this issue with the boost switch and my new one has it with the bypass switch. They work just fine but they just require a lot more pressure to engage/disengage. Anyone else sharing this issue?

And yea I know the easy answer is "don't ever switch it off. Why do you need to do that?" Haha

After wanting one for years, owning a TS-50B, and now a TS-25B combo, I finally picked up a RB. I haven't had much time to tweak it or play very loud but I'm really excited. I was quickly able to dial in an amazing clean punchy sound but I need to do some more work on the dirty tones.

I had a Rusty Box where one of the switches was so hard to press I though I'd break it.

I like the RB a lot, but I wish they revamped it to a 2024 version; lighter enclosure, better switches and no dramatic volume boost issues.

I would love that. I've bought and sold dozens of pedals at this point and this is the one pedal that's gonna stick around no matter what. I've been seriously thinking of ditching my entire paddleboard, but I know that I will miss the RB if I let it go, so it will just end up on the shelf if I do that.

here's what I'm working with at the moment. I'm running all of this into a fender bassman 500 head, which I adore.

How are you liking that Scorpion into the RB? I've been VERY tempted to get a Scorpion for the front of my RB.

It's cool. I don't have a ton of time (kids!) to really A/B it but they seem to play pretty well together. The depth knob and EQ on the scorpion give it a lot of different characters. If you want to find out for yourself. PM me. I was thinking about listing mine for 120 shipped. It's clean and comes with a box. LMK.

Ok. never mind. Im keeping it. The pairing is monstrous. The depth knob has insane range to get into Sansamp territory. Just raw rip-your-head-off bass. Not sure about a band context but for me at my house. it's rad.

I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger so no problem. I've been a bass > tuner > amp person for so long that I am having a hard time mentally with stacking tones. The RB works plenty fine at the moment, even with that endorsement. But.......that Scorpion sooner or later will join it.
