I looked at it last night when it was the last one available. I was close, but I just bought another dirty preamp that I'm still loving (Hilbish Sol Invictus) and thought I really didn't need the Rusty Box. I'm sure I'll regret not pulling the trigger on it.

Awesome, guys!
I think a Rusty Box is in my future. Anybody compare it to a Broughton Helion? Love to have a Broughton but this seems "more get-table", lol.

Mine just came in. The guys at Tronographic were cool and sent me #31 as I requested. Just spent a few minutes but it's certainly the heaviest pedal I've ever played.....like really heavy.....like it feels like a lead weight. And yes I am talking about it's actual weight. I wasn't expecting that. It am loving the lo input as it seems to retain my Ricks natural tone more. There is definitely a chop off of the low bass, which is replaced somewhat with a different frequency on the pedals bass knob, but I don't think this will be an issue. Might make it cut through the mix more. So far it's a winner.

Update. Spent all evening with the Trono and damn if this thing hasn't quickly become my favorite. I've spent years looking for a pedal that doesn't completely change my tone, and in Lo mode this one is king. Finally, my bass's natural tone just hyped up a bit. I'm loving the build quality too. So heavy and well put together. Why was I so late to this party???

Bob Weston never used a Rusty Box. He used a Traynor TS50B. The Rusty Box is a recreation of that preamp and its tone but whether it's faithful or not is a matter of opinion.

Your statement is not only completely wrong but also untrue.
It's a documented fact that Weston has taken a Rusty overseas on tour to limit wear & tear on his vintage Traynor.
An OG Rusty Box is even in the gear pile over at Electrical Audio, where Weston engineers / produces. It may or may not be the one mentioned above.
And straight from his mouth & my own personal experiences in having many opportunities directly comparing the Rusty Box & TS-50B— they both sound & "feel" exactly the same.

Agreed. Just having played the pedal for hours and comparing it to all videos of the Traynor as well as Weston's tone, I am in full agreement with Cataract.

That would be like saying JohnK's Century and Centurion pedals sound nothing like the amps themselves. All 3 instances of these preamps are exact replicas of their respective amps' preamps.

So, I guess the metal box the electrical components are cased in affects the sound.

INTERESTING.

I have two friends that own actual TS50B amplifiers & I've spent many an hour with them. When I mentioned direct comparisons above, I guess I should have said hands-on experience.
One of my buddies even owns two Rustys as well, haha.
Empiricial studies are fun!

My experience with most "clones" is that they are often less faithful to the original design than advertised. "Exact reproduction" is rarely even close and most people that claim they sound exactly alike have never tried an original.

This is by no means meant to be comment on the Rusty Box.

I have no idea whether the RB sounds identical to the Traynor, and no investment either way. BUT, there is a huge leap between "listen to any Shellac song" and "he used the RB on some live tours".

I also am deeply, extremely skeptical of any brand's claim to have made an exact copy of a famous amp/circuit. Most often they do not use the same components, and they make several changes to accommodate the pedal format (size, power supply, input impedance, etc.).

That is no comment on THIS SPECIFIC INSTANCE because, for all I know, the pedal may be a perfect sonic recreation of the amp. But simply repeating a brand's claim about their accurate reproduction is not the logical defense one might have been going for.

Well taken.
Luckily for me I've owned both some old Peavey gear and JohnK's Peavey pedals, and I've also owned a Traynor TS60B and a Rusty Box(not exact bc the RB is based off the TS50B, but close enough. Same for the old Peavey gear).
