I run my preamp Obsidian at the end. Dirt off, bass +4dB, Low mids +3dB @250Hz, Hi Mids +3db @ 1.5kHz, Treble anywhere from 0 to -4dB depending on what I'm doing.

They also give you a bit of a price break as you buy more IRs.Glad you liked it. I'm going to check out the pitch shifting soon.. Currently I have a simple octave up to try when it's just me and a guitar solo. My chain so far is:@smeet I dialed in your settings and paired it with an amp and cab (I have LT) and sounds really nice running through my FRFR speakers. I really like the deluxe comp with the settings you provided as I’ll be copy and pasting in all future presets.I also wanted to mention a couple things about the pitch shifting. To get an octave up with a 5th up blended around 40% you need 2 simple pitch blocks. First one set to +12 at 100% mix and the second one set to +7 with exp assigned to it with heel down mix 0% (single notes) and toe down 40% mix added to the octave giving you your power chord. Originally didn’t realize trying to do with one block the dry signal was being mixed which sounded ok but was too bass heavy and muddy. Sounds great now that I’ve also added lpf and eq to get a really descent tone. Someone mentioned not using the Helix for the royal blood thing at which I agreed with him that if gigging would be better with external octave pedals but I retract my statement as from what I’ve dialed in so far and works perfect, tracking is great for the single notes which royal bloods material is mostly if not all (the 5 songs I know are all single notes) It also does RATM no problem too. Amps and cabs and mic’s make a huge difference in the royal blood tone on the LT but sure with the right preamp in the fx loop and a good IR can 100% get you there on an HX. Just wanted to give a bit of an update as I’ve had more time on my LT and share my settings for the octave up and power chords in conjunction with an expression pedal if anyone wanted to experiment on their HX. Cheers!
One thing I just realized - if the HX loses power while I'm playing, it drops down to analog bypass with no noise or dropouts or anything. Very nice, just in case it happens on the gig.
Dumb question - if I don’t assign Some fx to switches, how do I select them to edit parameters?I think on the HX what I did was not assign my always on effects to any footswitches and that frees up "so many" then you can assign to the unused footswitches and you can also put two effects on one switch. Have one by passed in signal flow then save it now you can switch between the two by only pressing once. Because you can only have 9 blocks per preset you are limited that's one reason I went up to the LT. Alternatively you can put it to preset mode make another preset the same base tone as preset 1 but add different effects in preset 2.
Edit: Glad to hear about the event of a power loss safety feature.
Switch to signal flow view and then turn dial to desired effect block and edit from there I believe on HX.Dumb question - if I don’t assign Some fx to switches, how do I select them to edit parameters?
Yup tracking with chords is not good I agree but single note tracking is great imo...I hope more sooner than later to have poly cctave added to a helix update but by the sounds if things stated earlier in this thread might not be for a bit unluss we all whine for it more lol. Till then there's more than enough stuff to mess with and be creative and have fun.. I haven't even gotten into the looper yet which is next on the list hahaI was messing with chords the other day with the HX. Doesn’t track as well as I’d originally thought. Chords get messed. I still dig it of course. But overall my bwhammy does a better job.
I go on some of the social media and other helix related forums at times and it seems like everyone and their mothers are crying out for better/more poly octaves. So let’s jusg hope they are seeing that (I’m sure they are) and plop a POG/POG2 in the helix updates in the near future. I would be a very happy man if/when they do.
Oh, and I stil wish there was a way to have a delay where you could have an expressive/controllable oscillating delay time like the twist feature on the boss DD500. I would shut up then.....maybe
All in all though, I’m still geeked on and lovin my HX. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the helix family.
I feel your pain man!! I hope it's up and running soon. Your gonna love it!Helix has landed, updated to 2.53, and OwnHammer Ampeg IR's loaded...
Too bad I have no power at my house right now!

Please report back with your thoughts on the ownhammer IRs. I was thinking of grabbing them, but I'm a bit hesitant seeing as there is only a 2x10 and a 4x10.
Will do. I was a little hesitant as well, but I figured there's only one way to find out.
The 210AV does sound very similar to an 810, so I'm hoping that translates over well.
The 410HLF is not my favorite cab by a long shot, so we'll see how that one goes.
My goal is to eventually get the ownhammer pack, all the redwirez ones, and a good chunk or all of the 3 sigma ones. Just trying to decide what order to get them in.
I wish there was more info on the Sigma IR's. I'm curious exactly what they're including in the package.
I'll likely get the Redwirez Ampeg 810 one next.
