Line 6 Lowdown 175

I've got a Line 6 Lowdown 175 with the foot controller. It sounds pretty darn good at lower volumes and I love the effects even though they are rarely used (2 songs in our entire set list and its pretty self indulgent). The problem is when you crank it up past the half way mark it turns to mud. Does anyone else out there have this amp? If so what do you think of it? Is there a versatile alternative with a foot switch and some presets that won't put me in the poor house?

If you can swing it, do yourself a favour and trade the Lowdown 175 in for Lowdown 300 Pro. The difference in power output is huge and you'll find that you will get the tone you're looking for at the volume you need it at.

In addition, the LD300 Pro has the same pre-amp and digital effects as the LD 175.
