Just got my m9 today. I'm surprised with the bass octaver. It tracks better than the octaver pedals I've owned (OC-2 and MXR BOD). I'm loving this thing!
just got an M9 from a local store, pass me a number ;p. its still in the box will take a pic and dumb it on my board as a end-all modulation mfx!
I got one. love the thing.

haha i bricked the M9. now its on perpetual waiting for command when on.
i use a pulse md100 midi to usb cable. and try both on my mac snow leopard as well as a windows vista home premium.
it flashes and 1/2 way thru hang and pop up a 80009000 unknown midi error. surf line6 forum recomended a M-Audio Midisport Uno cable. that is just blardy ********.
if line6 want us to use "special midi usb cable" they might as well include that in or advice users to get it when they purchase the damn m9. now its bricked and i got to scramble aroun for the m-audio cable and i dunno if they carry it locally. retards.

They recommend that MAudio cable, but you can use any other cable. Even the cheapo $10 worth you can get on ebay. That´s how updated my M13. No problem at all.

Yeah..it's one of those cheap cables off of ebay. I'll let you know. Most likely...it will work.
I updated mine using my Motu Ultralite. It has midi in and outs so I just had to buy midi cables 
And here is my M9. The board is a DIY build using 1/2 cabinet grade wood. The sansamp deluxe and pitchblack is on a riser that is just above the top part of the upper left side of the M9. The space on the right side of the board is for an EB VP Jr 25k that I'll be using as an expression pedal. All power is hidden in the back of the board and all 9V dc pedals are powered off a g-bus mounted on the bottom part of the riser.
the AC powered that comes with the M9 are huge and kinda unsightly ;p. whats the best way to powered up it has a 9v 2000ma power requirement. thats huge.
I was able to hide my M9's power supply on it's side below my pitchblack and behind the midi and expression I/O. From the user standpoint it's barely even visiable. I can't tell ya how happy that made me because I forgot to plan for that hunk of change in the board planning.
I am a potential M9 customer - and I have a quick question:
Does the DM4 side (distortion) have a clean blend function like the other stompbox modelers? And if not, does anyone know if this function could potentially be in the works on a new software update?
