I have both and M9 and an M13 for my guitar rig. If I get to the point of playing bass well enough, I could see me incorporating one of them into a bass rig too. Rich had a preset scene in the M13 for bass users.

Let me bump this thread slightly to say that, if you're insane over Mono bags like I am, the Line 6 M13 will fit in the Mono Producer case.

According to the specs on both websites, it won't, but I brought my M13 to the shop, and it does. Just barely, but it does.

My M13 now rides in the same style that my Zon does (that one travels in a Mono M80). It's fantastic protection and comfortable to wear.

What sounds 'super good' to you? If you're looking for that hefty throb of a lowpass envelope filter, you may be out of luck. I can get pretty good sounds (for me) out of the Tron up and down, but I've always preferred using HP or BP filters in a blend or in parallel with an octave. The LP does a better job of holding the low end, but it doesn't get really deep in the low sweep like other filters I've tried do. I have to drop the volume of my bass going into the M13 to find the sweet spot of the filters.

The vocal filters are alright, but I haven't been able to get them as over the top as I prefer. The triggered filter is a pretty usable sound. Both of these, like the Trons, like to have a low input signal to trigger properly IMO.

It's made for guitar, so you have to massage it like a guitar before you make it pound like bass.

lets use the Qup as starter.

what i would say to you is that for the filter section is turn absolutely everything down on the all the way left and start from there, l then turn up the envelope slowly and tweak from there. otherwise your pissing in the wind trying to make it work because its completly biased for guitar.

i had a hell of a time when i got my filter pro, nothing reacting to my basses.. i recon you should download the FM4/filter pro manual. then put the blue comp afterwards.. and the worlds your lobster!

Hey guys, I have some questions about the m9. Those of you you in gigging bands, how does it work live at louder/stage volumes? Everything on youtube is on guitar and in a bedroom setting. Secondly, I'd be using this mostly in a solo post rock setting and i'm really interesting in the modulations and delays. Do you think this would be a good idea for obtaining these sounds, or should i stick to individual stomp boxes? I'm a little worried since its made for guitar.

Delays are fantastic. I have found at least one phaser, chorus, flanger, vibrato, and trem that I would use without blinking if there was a need in a song. I've not always loved chorus or flangers, either. There's plenty in there if you're a little flexible with your tone.

If you need that sound that you only got from that one pedal under those specific conditions then you'll want to keep your singles. I don't really play very loud much any more, even when I play out, so I can't much help you there.

Hey, thanks man! Every little bit helps. This is reassuring. And i can be plenty flexible with my tone. If it sounds good, I can easily live with it.

noob qns b4 i a LS-2 + some effects.

the stereo input and output can something like this be done.

LS-2
A - M9 (mono input/output)
B- M9 (stereo input/output) + others effect

so basically i can use the LS-2 to choose between channel A or B, eg) if i want to use channel B as Octave Delay + other pedals such as fuzz, etc..etc.. and channel A just for M9 effects as well as able to blend A+B

is that possible?
