Line6 Pod Go

Does anyone have the volume control in a certain position ie noon 1 o'clock 2 o'clock when running direct to FOH?

Not sure if this makes a difference?
I set mine just a hair under full on. I crank it all the way, then back it off just a small touch. Good strong signal to the house, and my in ears.

Obviously not everyone’s presets are at the same volume and your instrument output also is a consideration.

the sound engineer can adjust for your gain. I know that can be tricky if you aren’t always working with the same people.

As long as you don’t have it set ridiculously loud or soft you should be ok. It’s good to try and volume match your presets, and being consistent with your volume knob setting is a good idea as well.

I hope that helps some. Best of luck to you.

I just got a Pod Go Wireless and it seems like a winner (I've previously owned a Helix Stomp, Stomp XL, and Effects).
  • Good sounds and hardware/software.
  • Nice big screen, plenty of footswitches and dials.
  • Lots of connections - and all are on the back rather than adding to the sides.
  • Wireless works well unless I turn on my Boss Waza Air after it then they fight over the same frequency and the Pod cuts out which is a bit worrying incase someone turned on a Boss wireless at a gig after the Pod Go was turned on. Boss on first then turn on Pod Go (which finds an unused frequency) works well though.
The main downsides are:
  • Lack of parallel signal paths - my request to Line 6 would be to please add the 'mix' parameter to more FX as this is a good workaround but isn't available on most FX (also it's as mapping the 'mix' parameter to the expression pedal is the best way I've found to fade in/out an effect).
  • Limited block numbers with some always required - I understand the need for limited block numbers due to processing but it's frustrating that some have to always be there (they can be turned off but they still take up the block). e.g. if I'm playing through a real Amp & Cab perhaps I don't want to use any Amp & Cab blocks and removing them could free up space for other FX to go in their place (even if it needs to be FX with low processing power), or if I am using a Amp block perhaps I don't need an EQ block.

Overall though I'm really liking it.

Does anyone know the physical dimensions of the POD Go power supply connector? I bought a replacement supply for it, because (if you don't already know), the OEM power supply does not last long if you move it around much (i.e., to gigs).

Anyway, the replacement supply looks solid electronically (9v, 3a, negative/ground on center pin), but it's connector doesn't fit in the POD Go.

I put my calipers on the OEM power supply connector and got:
  • Inner diameter: 2.37mm
  • Outer diameter: 5.47mm
So I believe I want a connector with on outside diameter of 5.5mm (common), but I'm not sure I'm able to measure the inner diameter accurately with my specific caliper, so I'm looking for help with this.

If you know the correct size, please let me know.

Thanks,

buzz

Pod Go 1.40 update is out finally, anyone already tried it?

POD Go 1.40

Updated, a few more tools for bassists. What's better is the guitarist in one of my bands sent me a patch that only has the option for a head and 8 open blocks for pedals. Another with no head and all open blocks for pedals. I have been swapping all my Presets over since I don't use the volume or wah anyway. I can't attach them to share because they are not supported file types.

If anyone wants them, send me a PM
