Logos & Brand Names you hate or love

It seems we are very much influenced by what is on the headstock.
Be honest. What brand name/logo are you attracted too or would not consider since you hate the name.

I hate the Peavey logo and would never consider Ibanez because I don't like the name.

Personally, ironically, the Fender logo is still my favorite, tho that's probably because I'm such a died in the wool Leo Fender fan. I just happen to not like the original fender basses that much (tho LF's later designs, the stingray and of course G&L are ingenius).

There's no design I'd reject merely because of the name or logo.

The name I hate the most is Kent from the old days of Fender copies. and I'd reject one even if it was given to me. Not because of the name itself, but because it's a piece o' plywood crapola....

My favourite logo is Fender, by a long way, but that may just be because a Fender was the first serious instrument I had, and suddenly I knew what all the fuss was about!

I have, play and love an Indie IB604, the gunstock-oiled swamp ash one. It's a most beautiful bass, sounds wonderful and is effortless to play, but I still don't like the name or the logo. Not even when they've gone to all the trouble to pick it out in a nice little abalone inlay on the headstock! (It's all over the fine, sturdy fitted gig bag too... rats...)

First two that come to mind are Sterling= I'm such a narccisist, I'll name this model after ME! I have no problem with naming the company after one self, but a model? Fail.

Bongo= come on now, really. This one takes the cake. (required IMO) ... and from a company that gave us Stingray and Saber too (two very good names IMO)

Human Base

And isn't the new model named Big Al? Puleaaase. That's got to be close to the top of the heap for bad name choices.

I don't like Human Base either. F bass sounds really generic. Lull basses sound like you've had a lapse in judgement. :)

Ones I do like the names and/or logos...Alembic, Fodera, Spector, Fender, MTD, Warwick.

That's unusual, or at least it seems so to me. I'd think nothing of someone wanting to name a model after themselves precisely because so many people have (rightly) named entire companies after themselves.

Definitely agreed on Bongo and Human Base.

peavey sharp pointed logo sucks !!!!

That, too.

But I'd never hate a name/logo enough not to buy a bass because of it.
