Not everything "cheap" is "stolen".

Maybe the guy quit playing, maybe the wife got it in a divorce, perhaps a relative left it to him, maybe he's got to pay rent (or for a car repair/new car, like I just had to do) etc..

You guys sure are a cynical bunch.

It's worth a call/email to find out a bit about it. Perhaps it's hot, perhaps it's not....but there sure are a lot of assumptions being made.

Ask him if you can play it before you make any offer. Bring in a practice amp when you check it out, see how it plays. Or, ask to see it on his amp (if he has one). If he's nice enough, he'll let you.
That's what I would do.

I'm not sure of the legal ramifications of posting the links on these boards but with a few searches on google I was able to find a couple of overseas retail/auction sites that would be more than happy to send them right to my door.
