Looking For A Bass Player

Talented Female Artist in need of a Bass Player to complete band. Looking to do big things soon. We need someone that is skilled; drama free; young and experienced. Possible National Recording Artist in the making.

Young AND experienced? . . .

But then again, a student of one of my friend's got in on the ground floor with Taylor Swift (before she was known) and now plays guitar in her band.

But a little more info would definitely be helpful.

Funny...

When I was young (like 17), people said, "Wow, you're going to be a monster player when you're older!" Same thing when I was 25; same thing when I was in my 30's.

When I turned 40 and now that I've passed the 50 years of age mark, people say, "Wow, you're really good...but you're old."

When was that "older" time supposed to happen???
It's about attitude, would you be able to hang with a bunch of 20 year olds? If so then you could say you're not "old", but most guys around your age want nothing to do with young bands.
It sure is easier to fit in a band around your own age.

I used to be 18! Does that count? :rollno:

Give me a break ..... look at most of the Nashville guys and you see and feel experience ..... well worn and well earned experience!

The funny thing is the resurgence of bands like Zeppelin, Clapton, Areosmith (who really never went away sort of) etc .... and they are being played and/or discovered again by the "youth". Well .... that was "New" music back when some of us were growing up and some of those artists records were our teachers!

At what age does all of that fall apart? :bassist:

Someone tell me please because I'd hate like heck to be doing a gig and all of a sudden "age" hits!!!!!

I guess at a certain age they may take your bass away as unsafe to play .... yes?

Ok ............ I'm being cynical but in truth why does age play such a factor ..... do you want a good player or a Ken doll .... (that's from the now 50 year old Barbie and Ken for those of a much newer chronological vintage)
