I'm not a fan of the layout and very numerous options that pop up when trying to delete private messages. In fact, I can't seem to even figure out how to do it. And I'd like to clean it up a bit.
Thanks Mike. Somehow "Leave Conversation" sounds more like "leaving it alone" rather than deleting it. Not intuitive.Use the "Leave Conversation" option. It will ask you if you want to accept future messages pertaining to that conversations, so you will get that popup after you choose Leave.

I agree, and when I first began using this software (not here), it was definitely a hurdle. It's eye opening to me how different we all think. In my mind, 'leave conversation' makes sense for ending a conversation. As in 'I am going to leave this conversation, it's over'. On the other hand, I can also see how it sounds to you. That makes sense as well. Having a 'delete' button would be much simpler in my opinion. -Mike

From a computer-centric mind frame, it makes more sense to use 'delete' than 'leave conversation'. Conjecture here, but it may have been designed with a larger (maybe less computer geeky so to speak) audience in mind....
If you haven't tried the blue forum retro style (select style here) then I think you should. I like it a lot better than the default style.
If you still feel like leaving ... goodbye.![]()
Now I'm really confused. Even from a non-computercentric perspective, "leave conversation" means to me "I don't want to continue this conversation anymore right now." It doesn't mean that I'll never want to pick it up again at some point in the future, and it certainly doesn't mean that I want to erase any record of it ever having happened!
The site looks godawful now. This is literally bad enough to leave entirely.
Sadly it's still awful.
Vbulletin is the only option worth acknowledging. I don't care what the the admins say about it. This is terrible. I will never be a supporting member for this forum again nor will I even open the site unless I have a specific reason to be forced here.
I can't hear any pins dropping with the righteous Bryan Adams song above blasting so loudly.Seriously, you can hear a pin drop around here since the update. I really hope it picks up.
