Looking good TB.

Putting something posted by someone else and linking that as a sig line looks stupid now... more like you're quoting them in relation to the topic at hand than a simple sig quote.

"So-and-so likes this" is dumb. I've seen it in other forums and always felt a little superior that TB didn't have it.

Well...24 hours later, and I have to say overall I think the new look is great.

Part of the fun is working out the little nuances. In a months time, we will have forgotten the old version existed at all.

However, 2 questions...

Firstly, who has had a hissy ragequit fit?..

And secondly, I tried to post in the lobby earlier but was met with an error message forbidding me to do so. I am a supporting member and only recently renewed my subs, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had access denied?

This small tweak to the CSS would make life bliss....current color is grey, no underline. LEaving users wondering, "where's the link". Oh, my color is just what i dragged the selector to in "inspect element" ;)

body .muted, body a.muted, body .muted a {
color: #4719D8;
text-decoration: underline;
}

Anyone know of anything for Safari/Apple that can approximate this??

Looks like Safari has the Stylish extension, but someone may have to write a dedicated TB style to get anything satisfying. I tried a style picker/editor extension in Opera (on Win 8.1 though), it worked OK. I'm betting that Paul will come up with at least one more toned down style sooner than later. I like the 2014 feature set a lot more than the Retro one, and am perfectly happy now that I've dialed in background and text colors to my liking.

The only forum I go to here is OT. I can find all the threads I have been replying to, I can see who posted in them, where they are from, and see other threads I may want to reply to. I can click one button and go right to the last post in the thread, or click another button and go to the first new post in the thread. These are things I was able to do in the previous version of TB. So yeah, all good in my hood.

Glad to hear someone else who feels similarly.

I am still able to click my Browser Bookmark that takes me to TB OT. Can't ask for much more than that.

Who quit?

Not me, I'm too legit.

One thing I noticed that is different than before, is that in order to expand a thumbnail, you must be logged in. I admit to sometimes surfing TB without logging in so it's no biggie to me to have to log in, but potential noobs may see it as a PITA when perusing the classifieds.

I'm about to post a new thread in the classifieds and would like everyone, including non-members, to have a chance at seeing full size photos.
