Looking good TB.

Some older, unsupported code or whatever, yeah I get that. Apparently changing every last little thing was really needed to do that?....whatever.

I questioned Paul, the site owner, on this as well. The quality of the vBulletin forum software has degraded in recent years in ways the average end user would not notice. More of the backend infrastructure where there were issues. It was unfortunate that vBulletin had to be abandoned, but I understand the reasons why Paul made the choice he did.

There is another theme coming out soon that Paul is working on now. It is a darker theme that some people may like.

I understand there were support/security problems we likely never saw on this end of it. Not a total luddite.

I'm sure this isn't the final product either. More user customizable options would be cool. Colors, fonts, layout, doing away with options and clutter one would never use, etc. I realize one can't just snap their fingers and make that happen instantly. I am seeing a lot of emphasis on extra "stuff" other than the content that is the reason people come here though.

When the new site was launched I took several days to navigate around before deciding how I felt about the changes. I am now squarely in the "love it" camp. Once I figured out how to do everything I used to do, I set about learning how the improvements can work for me. I do a fair amount of buying and selling and the changes to the classifieds alone make the new site worth my while. Search is better, embedding links is now possible and the overall look is better for me (I'm using the Retro skin). I'm actually finding myself visiting the site more than I was previously and will continue to be a Supporting Member here.

Check out Austin craigslist sometime. I've been able to buy or sell anything I've ever needed to right here in town. No need for memberships or shipping or paypal or such things. ;)
If it works for you, great. I can't always find kart week's "must have new releases" on craigslist. And even better I never have to hide a knife in my underwear just in case our meeting at the Walmart parking lot goes south.
I should hope not...not after last time.

Edit: by the way, I have no idea what 'yo momma' even means. I'm just trying to sound all cool and American.
It's even cooler when said in a think Harry Potter accent.
