I'm glad your here to give me you're help on contractions and possessives.
I noticed a weird and annoying feature of the new TB.
I have a tendency to, after typing a reply and changing my mind about posting it, hit the "back" button without posting what I'd typed. Then, when I revisit the thread later, the response that I'd changed my mind about posting is still there as a "shadow" draft. I guess if I change my mind and choose not to post it, I need to delete it before exiting the thread. I've even deleted it a few times and it's still there later.

There's an app for that. Hit the floppy disk icon and choose 'delete draft'. The text changes to solid and you can now permanently delete it. I love this feature now that I've figured out how it works, as in the past I've lost quite a few long technical posts that required fact verification or further research.
Yeah, I was gonna say, why not ask Paul (or the developer of the new themes, Russ) if they could use your services?
As a hardware guy who largely hates coding (even though I've done more than I ever wanted to) - they can't afford me.

I actually like that feature. I can close my ipad and come back later to work on a draft without losing it. You just have to be careful and delete the draft if you make up a new reply later.
My beef: Android app still not keeping me logged in... What, is that a security feature?? Someone can't see my TB account if I lose my phone? As if anyone would want to when every other account actually worth hacking is permanently logged in.....

I am having some problems getting adjusted to the new site. Like anything there are pros and cons. Ultimately I just used the other site of 11 years so this will take some unlearning and relearning. I do wish they would lift the new 20 picture link limit on the classifieds.

I like full disclosure so I really try to get a lot of photos when I sell. Likewise when I am buying a picture is worth 1000 words. Very important to me when buying a bass before I play it.
But yeah usualy less than 20 should do the trick!
I recently created an account on Flickr because, even though it's kind of a pain for potential buyers to click a link instead of having the photos right there, I never figured out how to post photos here except for the thumbnail attachment method. I tried the other way once and failed.
That way I put one nice picture here and if people are interested enough, they'll click the link. I'm impressed with the look and quality on Flickr also.

I think that's what I tried, but it was two years ago and my brain dumped it. I may try again in the future. Thin Q.
That was the old TalkBass software (vBulletin). Using the present software:
1. Type any text you want in the quick reply box which is located at the bottom of each page.
2. Place your cursor where you wish the picture to be placed within the quick reply box.
3. Click the 'Upload a File' button, which is at the bottom right of the quick reply box between the 'Post Reply' and 'More Options' buttons.
4. A system dialog box will open allowing you to select a file from your hard drive.
5. Click the file of your choice and then click the 'Open' button at the bottom right of the system dialog box (or you may simply double click the file of your choice).
6. Your pic file will be immediately uploaded and a small dialog box will open below the quick reply box with the name of the file you just transfered as well as three (3) clickable buttons:
-- 'Thumbnail' - small version of your pic
-- 'Full Image' - full sized version of your pic
-- 'Delete' - erase the image from TalkBass that you just uploaded.
7. Click either 'Thumbnail' or 'Full Image' to place your image into the quick reply box along with your text where you cursor was previously set.
8. Click 'Delete' if you wish to get rid of the pic you just placed.
9. You may then continue to type text or to upload another pic, retrace steps 3 - 7 above.

I really dig the new TB. I remember when I first joined talk bass a couple years back about, not being familiar with forums of it's kind, it took me a long time to adjust and navigate. The new TB I was navigating with ease and enjoyment in the first min I was on it. I like it. A lot. They did a wonderful job revamping it.
