Loosing Weight

Hello friends:). I have a Fender MIA 2001 Jazz Bass ( American Series ) that has a sentimental value for me, but it is quite heavy- 9.7 pounds . So, my question is if I replace the original tuners by the new Fender Hipshot tuners, the result will be a satisfactory reducing weight. Thank's. Eduardo.

Yes, the bass has a neck dive. And a hipshot aluminum bridge?

So the ultralite hipshot tuners are probably what you want. And the bridge will not make enough difference to be noticeable. Unless its one of those crazy heavy high mass things, you probably won't notice any difference.

EDIT: and a nice wide leather strap is gonna be your best friend. And don't skimp, because that strap will last forever, unlike most of the cheapie cloth ones GC sells.
