Robby was in three Lost in Space episodes. The one you have a picture from War of the Robots, season 1 Ghosts in Space, and a third season episode Condemned of Space.

I wasn't a really big fan of the original show (and, wasn't he really "MISTER" Smith?).

Zachery Smith was always Dr. Smith. He was the doctor who gave the Robinsons their pre-flight exams.

I was a bit put off by the first episodes “start in the middle” approach,but have watched it and the 2nd show,and am finding it pretty good. Even as a kid in the ‘60’s, i thought the original show’s first black and white season was eerie and good,but the whole show devolved into utter nonsense after that.
Never understood why.....
Parker Posey should make an interesting Smith......

They were trying to compete with the 60's Batman series and thought dropping the more serious stuff for the campy silliness.

The 1st season of the original was the best. Guy Williams disliked the direction as well, that's why he is featured less and less as the series went on.

I'm with you on that Dr Smith evolved into a complete buffoon that probably would have been killed for putting everyone in constant danger. I was also a little indifferent to the way they did the flashbacks

I liked the first one better. They're both great. Both written by John Williams (composer of Jaws, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, etc. themes). Back when he was young and credited as Johnny Williams.

I'm not excited by the "pitch black" rip off aliens. There is a little more suspense than is necessary overall, but the story is developing nicely. I'll be sad when it's over.

I finished it. Decent show. I'll watch the next season, but I won't eagerly anticipate it.

They went a little heavy handed on the teary close ups in the last episode. That and the thing I mentioned earlier about the medical doctor who looks 14. Those are my two quibbles with the show.

I gave it another shot. I’m on episode three. It’s okay. The dad is discount Michael Fassbender. The redhead daughter is amusing and I like the robot.

I am finding myself fast forwarding through several scenes now as the drawn out dialogue is a bit much....and Dr Smith is so evil...she drives me out of my mind....Can't wait for her comeuppance.

So I finished it but I did doze off in the last several episodes. It’s a decent show. It looks really good. The cgi and production value in general is impressive.

I'm guessing the robots and their plans to dominate the entire universe, even Tau Lacertae IX, will feature next series.
Dr. Smith will, no doubt, talk them into making her their Supreme Leader.

I just edited out my confusion about the robots after I read a synopsis online. Apparently I missed the whole part about how the humans stole the alien engine, a meteor that was actually an alien ship, and the robots were there to retrieve the engine from the resolute. That’s what I get for falling asleep during most of it.

That kinda sucks though. The “humans have been the bad guys all along” thing is tired already.

Is it really stealing if you salvage it from a wreck? I imagine something like maritime law would apply, although it seem the robots don't agree with that.

The chicken also contains a call-back to the original series. He said the chicken's name is Debbie. Debbie was also the name of the Bloop that Penny had as a pet.
