Love the roadworn basses.. BUT

No I was really talking about the jazz bass version. I don't like the roadworn P bass it all. Neck is way too wide for me.

Wuss! :D KIDDING

Never played the jazz. I would think it would suck tho (not hating). The pbass has kinda low output pups so the jazz... The neck is kinda sticky on the pbass so on the jazz I doubt it would be much different.

Oh well. If it had a better neck I would pay that price. Plus the worn finger board is cool looking but it sounds different from the rest of the neck. they need to find a way around this IMO

I have both the Sunburst Jazz nd the Fiesta Red P bass......And I love them,They sound just like my dad old 60s bass,And yes Dad said back then every one smoked in the bars and dad does not smoke anymore but all 3 of his bass guitars have the burn marks on them,Like he said you would light up start playing and by the time you know it the smoke was down to nothing after a good slow blues jam.

Who you callin' a wuss, wuss! :D I don't have big man fingers. Gotta keep my bass necks smaller.

No see your missing the Point, it's not about it being fake it's about how they put something in my mind so strange and what I thought was rare on everyone of them. I mean who really does that?

Pretty much everyone back in the day...

Here' s my 64 with a mild burn spot. Pretty common on workhorses. My old Telecaster guitar has one too.

If smoking while playing is "so strange" to you, I'd have to assume you are VERY young, and never been in a bar with a band playing. If that's the case, fair enough, but this is a VERY common occurance on a bass that's been "worked".

I'm pretty sure EagleMoon is a chic by the way. Are you referring to the Classic 50s P Bass. I'm not sure the necks are the same on those as the RW. The RW I tried had nicer, different feel.

The neck feel is very different between the two. The Road Worn basses I've played give a very good aproximation of the feel of a vintage Fender neck, while the Classic 50's P neck really Doesn't IMO.
