Low B Damaging Bass Amp

Hi.

It is possible, but highly unlikely. Especially in MI use.

The amps, or more precisely the amps power supplys, ability to deliver the needed current is about the only thing that affects the low end reproduction. That, in theory, can shut down a MI amp if there's too much demand for the low frequencies. Whether that's a result of the protective circuits kicking in, or something letting up the smoke, that depends of the amp. That said, the power amps that don't have any protection at all, are mostly long gone by now :).

Like said previously, it's Your cabs/drivers that won't probably take the lower frequencies too well, but a functioning ear or two will tell you when to back up a bit.

Regards
Sam
