I have a cab from LDS that looks just that one (kind of a wine-red color) and it just kills! I bought it used so not totally sure of its innards.

I am thinking of having DOn make me a second one (or a sub only) for those times that its not quite enough on its own. I also have a GB UB 212, but am thinking of selling it to finance a second LDS. Quality is second to none...

It is my understanding that the disclaimer was added later. Not that I have any issue with that per se.

The second part is a gray area. My personal take is that unless the device or product is somehow legally patented or protected, any such claim may have limited merit.

Yessir, it has the pad-back on the mid for single cab use.
I just got the sub, so, it's not been gigged yet.

No real comment til then...other than to say I'm not sure if the Walkabout has the stones to push it hard enough for me, but, the MBFusion seems to; but, I like the Walkabout's tone better.
I may take both heads with me, just for science and headroom and all.

Gig last night at local ski lodge. Great fun 'cause it's a bar but not a typical bar scene or crowd. Played my Valenti>>pedal tuner>>Optostomp compressor>>GK MB800>>LDS 15/6. 50x70' room with carpet and high ceilings, about 125 people. Filled the room with ease and loaded my gear in 1 trip (bass on back, 55 lb cab on casters with small bag for head and accessories on top)........too bad it took many more trips for the PA and drums:p

I've been lurking these threads since day one it seems. Ive had a three-way 1x12" for longer than any of the basses I currently own. Somehow, I have no pics of it directly, but it's the orange one on the LDS site. Don built exactly what I wanted, and I've never once been unhappy with it. The only feature I didn't get is a tiltback, which it desperately needs.

Lately, I'm finding myself wanting an even smaller cab, something ultra portable, yet able to handle the thunderous low B of a Dingwall. Are there any opinions out there as to how small a cab could be built to project the full range of said bass?

I attended the Chicago TalkBass GTG today and got to hear a nEarful 15/6/1, a TC112 and a TC115. The 1x15s got more attention so I didn't get to hear the TC112 much. I do recall it having impressive low end though.

My ears liked the nEARful best as I thought the mids were more balanced. I didn't hear any of them in a band setting so my opinion might change...but all there were impressive.

Walkabout/TC stack. 2 ohms, 550 watts.
MBF/12-6-1 stack. 4 ohms, 500 watts.

Grudge Match City. Pretty different sounding rigs, both pretty capable.

I spent last weekend gigging the 12/6/1+12 sub, with the GK MBFusion and Sadowsky MV5.
Long term, it may or may not be "my thing," but dang if it doesn't work really well.
