if you really like the 10's thing-and there's no reason you shouldn't-two well designed 210's will perform extremely well, and give you the degree of modularity you're looking for.

they'll stack into a regular 410 config, or, stack vertically too, which i really enjoy.

For people who like 2x10s, I recommend 12/6's with variable attenuators using a 6nd410 instead of the alpha 6.

With that config you can crank up the sensitivity of the mids and get a really rocking 2x10 type sound. I do that with my 15/6 occasionally :)

... just got off the phone with Don .
my second 15/6.5 cab should arrive tomorrow !!

patiently waiting for the FedEx truck ...
Can I ask when you put your order in for yours?

I thought I'd have mine along time ago. To be honest if I knew the wait time was going to be this long, I would have to think hard about pursuing these cabs. Its been 5 months (from Febuary) and he hasnt started mine yet.

Do y'all think that the 12/6s can be configured to offer slightly different tones, yet still compliment each other when you run both? Maybe one with a tweet and one without?

Also, are there many (if any) 6 string players out there using this cabinet? I love my 6s...

You can definitely do one with a tweet and one without, but that's as far as I'd go. You can leave the mid driver off of one too actually but then it wouldn't be usable standalone realy.

I must emphatically agree with everyone who has suggested getting two 12/6s or 12/6/1s. With the 18 Sound 6nd410 mid driver, I also agree that you could eliminate one of the tweeters, unless you play upright and actively strive for those percussive overtones.

I'm selling two well-known, great-sounding 2x10s that will be surpassed by fEarful-design 15/6 and 12/6 cabs from LDS that are more efficient, are as small or smaller, and go as low or lower than the 2x10s.

My experience with an LDS built nEarful 15/6/1 (3015LF, 6ND410, tweeter, and Ralf Patterson's 1200hz crossover) is that you end up with varying degrees of the same basic tone. I can tweak the L-Pad for the midrange and the tweeter quite a bit and still end up with the same basic tone. Don't get me wrong, the tone does change, but it won't be a night and day difference by dialing the L-Pad's.

I will say that these cab designs take EQ changes VERY well. I can get a lot of different tones out of mine by altering the EQ on my amp, or selecting a different pickup.

So our previously discussed 2x10's have been pushed out by these Nearfuls? Cool! I am on the waitlist for a 1515/66.
I'll keep those 2x10's for small footprint stage space gigs but will wait with anticipation for my LDS
