Low End Jazz Megathread Part 2

Anyone check out the new Reliced Lowend Vintage on the Lowend Site?

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I know the guys here were talking about 'em on the thread, but this is the first I see one. From what I understand Brian is using Lollars on this one. This thing must kill! Brian suggested I put some Lollars in a Sadowsky I ordered for a classic Jazz sound. I've flipped a lot of basses since then, but the Sadowsky with Lollars remains my mainstay bass. Let me also take this moment to say that no matter how many questions I have or how many emails I send the guy from time to time, Brian has ALWAYS stayed super pro and helpful.

Looks like he added his preamp to it, originally passive. I played when it was passive through a LowEnd "Booty In A Box Pre" stompbox and it was killing. The Lollars are more vintage sounding than the Ken Armstrong pups.

hey guys....i have been looking at the sonic blue benavente relic on b's site and then the lej vintage 5 that sold. they both look cool but it looks like there is a bit of a difference in the design ... the lej looks like def 60's spacing but the relic i cant tell for sure with the bridge placement. i really like brian and would like to score something light, punchy and with a small neck ... thx...w

Continually happy with my LEJs. This one is gonna be on the road with me this summer with Jonathan Butler, Maysa, and Warren Hill. It's the "triplelutz" model.

Dan! wassup bro? this is Jackie in Memphis! Man,your tone on the Phillippe Saisse track is incredible! Of course your playing goes without saying! haha! Great song and really, really great vibe!

Peace,
JC

If anyone is interested, I'm selling my LEJ5. I have it listed in classifieds.

Dan, a friend of mine was recently in LA and went to a coffee shop, I think, and said that you were playing. He said he met you after the gig. His name is Vinnie, from New York. Anyway he said that the LEJ was killing and you were killing it. He plays Fodera's but was with me when I bought my LEJ and loves it.

Yep- I remember. It was at a club called The Baked Potato. Vinnie was cool. Glad he dug the show!
