You are going to LOVE your LEJ!! I really couldn't live without either one!! HAHA!! The color really does seem to change depending on the lighting...but it's definitely a "lighter"shade of purple...possibly a burgundy "haze!" Haha!! I googled some vintage burgundy mist Fenders and, to me, it's closest to the vintage "burgundy mist." Then again...I'm getting older and my color id may be waning...:D
You will have to post pics and soundclips when you get your bass!! Congrats!!
P.S. I like mine better too!!! Haha!!

Pics, definitely.

Sound clips, hmmm, we'll see, my skills are many levels below yours, my friend, and I fear I would embarrass myself. :(;)

LowEnd NAMM footage:

I had to put bassgearmag in check about having the wrong bass in the title. But with enough comments they gladly change it. Diglo AKA "LowEnd Media Assassin" LOL!!

working on a bunch of LEJ's and wanted to post these that are in finishing stages that belong to some of you guys!

YEEEEEE-HAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! :hyper:
Mine's the Daphne Blue bass at the top. That birdseye board is KILLIN'!! The 66' Jazz lollipop tuners look great, as well as the blocks/binding/matching headstock!! Can't wait to see it with the Jazz knobs!
Do you have the iGig bags in stock? Looking forward to seeing the bass, and playing it live and in person.

This was SO worth the wait!!! Brian, you friggin' ROCK!!!

LiF, Tendollarcat & jacocops, ya'll have some nice looking basses. Wait til you see them in person. I really dig LiF's Dakota Red.

Thanks Diglo,

I'm really excited about the walnut monster. I'm just looking at those 4 pickups thinking - Pbass tone, 60s jazz tone, 70s jazz tone, PJ tone, Musicman tone??, Wal tone??? :D And I know that being a LEJ, it will have a chunk of it's own thing going on too. I have some fun times ahead.

I started tracking demos for my band yesterday and used the LEJ Hollowbody. The guys in my band were laughing that the recorded output on Cubase soundwaves (if thats what they are called) just looked fat and covering big chunks of the track. The tone direct from DI was just massive. In the next week I'm laying down some more polished stuff so I'll post a clip or two when they are done. The Hollowbody rocks as a recording bass!

I like to think of us as foundation members :D This time next year we will be part of a much bigger club down here. LEJs are definitely catching on.

:hyper:Hello y'all! i'm a newbees on this thread, and i hope to be welcome into the LowEnd J bass club:)

I really love all the Brian's craftship,i'm on my second LEJ6 and,hum... the Orange one in 6 strings and maple fg will be mine soon! arff i've so much thought about it and waiting my order the more patiently the best i was able to do.

I feel realy glad to be among you and very proud to be a LowEnd J fan!:bassist:
For me one of the best basses ever made and sounding!
Great jazzbass looks with the best hardware and a warm modern tone: it's all what i love the most!
Soon,i'll put here pics and feeling....thanks to you!;)

I really dig my Dakota Red, too. I notice you are in Tennessee, have you seen it in person?

Man, I'm at the shop every other day. Your bass looks great. Reminds of the one Robert Wilson of the Gap Band use to play. All players, except LEJ playa's, are going to be jealous of you down under, nah, WORLDWIDE!! LOL!

STUNNING! if they make that in a 6er i'm all over it

I am pretty sure I played this bass today and I must say it was awesome! I was in the shop today and it was the first thing that caught my eye, it is gorgeous in person! I didn't know it was a short scale when I picked it up, but it just felt right to me. I am not a very big guy and I have pretty small hands and the short scale really seemed to fit me. I didn't plug it in or anything, but it left an impression! Very nice bass and Brian is a nice guy also. If I was in the market I wouldn't hesitate...
