Ive got the BFE Blueberry and the Fuzzrocious Rattail. You can cover many ranges with these two pedals. I also have the Humpries Audio Bad(der) Monkey which is OK. I am curious as to the Barbershop though.

Also,
I find that amps play a big roll in this.
Trust me!!
No pedal will sound the same in 2 different amps
I borrowed my guitarist's Fulltone OCD and that thing sounded phenomenal! It can do some low gain grit and go all the way up to some crazy over-driven stuff. Youtube search a video of it on bass.
EDIT: I have used my Sansamp BDDI for some low gain grit as well and it sounded pretty good.
Ive had the MXR M80 dist+ for yrs and I thought it was great. I got a Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive for $20 in a pawn shop just as a backup, but it just seemed to be a big fuzzy mess w harsh highs rather than an actual OD. Ive read quite a few posts here about the Monte Allums mod, in particular the ODB-3 so I thot Id try it since I only had $20 in the pedal to begin with and for around $30 for the parts, step by step install instuctions, Im amazed@ how much better this inexpensive(but sturdy) ped sounds. Now the MXR is backing up the ODB-3. Totally worth looking into, esp since used ODB-3s seem in abundance @ a decent price.
Well thanks Dukeorock. For some reason, I liked the look of the pedal and your description so I decided to order the Frank od pedal. Fabulous pedal. It seems to be a little different than most I have had and have. While I love my blueberry and rattail, this is a great pedal to add to my board. It is a very subtle overdrive but still gives it a nice character while keeping "My" tone in tact.
Just ordered a Barbershop and an Accountant from Fairfield. Thanks a lot!![]()
Good to do it now. Guillaume posted on Facebook that he will be raising the Canadian prices because of the exchange rate.
Prices going up on Fairfield Circuitry?
AAUGH!

Go buy now! You Americans already have an almost 25% "discount" on the dollar conversion.
Which for me was basically the difference between buying new from Fairfield or a used one here.
Plus another 20% discount from Prymaxe![]()
