Lowest Priced New Basses Ever??

I wonder why some of you worry so much. If the bass doesn't arrive, you're covered by eBay/PayPal. If it does arrive, you win. Those are really the only possible outcomes.
For folks in the US it is easier. The last time I filed a claim, I had to wait longer because it was an item being posted from the US hence the estimated arrival was longer since it was being sent internationally. By the time I was sure it wouldn't arrive, it was too late to file the claim and PayPal/eBay would not refund me.

Actually in my case I’m going to have a hard time proving to PayPal and eBay that the bass never arrived since the tracking info says it did. I need to now deal with the post office.

Monday is a big day....

Check WHERE it was delivered. I got burned before (different product and seller) and was able to provide a link showing delivery to another state. This help me get my refund.

It's possible that the seller is taking a loss on ebay sales in order to move money out of China. It's also possible that they are intentionally losing money on eBay as a means to wash funds gained through credit card fraud. AKA "Triangulation Fraud".

Shortened version of the story from the video I posted above:
Someone buys the bass from eBay, then the seller uses a stolen card to purchase it from "Glarry" who drop ships the item to the buyer. When it's a small amount of $$$ and no-one appears to be taking a loss the system isn't very motivated to intervene.

Unfortunately the sellers can't ramp up volume without raising alarm bells, which is probably why these deals keep dropping out.
You are a Commercial User. How you would respond to a competitor who spread unsubstantiated rumors in writing that discredited you and your business and later caused you significant damage to your business and personal reputation? I suspect you would not be happy and may be securing council to recover damages. I for one remain optimistic and believe in the sellers past performance.

interesting that it traveled North as i am in Florida. maybe that's where they're irradiating the mail?
back in the early aughts the post office half a mile from where i grew up was where all the anthrax was sent from so it was closed for several years and we received irritated mail for awhile
note that i am amused rather than worried: I've had to refund scammer buyers on eBay (returned their jacked up used version of the brand new item i sent them, etc. eBay customer service can do a whole lot of you're willing to spend an hour on the phone with them)

Well since he removed all his items for sale it looks like he took himself out of business.

Bad feedback is never the way to go with Ebay/Paypal. Opening a case at the moment it’s allowed, usually after the expected delivery date gets results. I had an empty e-packet envelope arrive. I took a picture of the label showing the weight of .04 lbs and explained how that envelope could not have contained my item. I was promptly refunded. I would say 3 of ten Ebay experiences with direct purchases I made from China had problems. Never did I leave feedback, one way or the other and never was I not refunded. I should add that this purported scam smoking up this thread looks like brewing hysteria. If you were going to engineer a scam, why would you do it for 18 bucks a pop? If you’re going to use EBay to go crooked wouldn’t you go for something more than the equivalent of a couple of frozen pizzas?

Do you have a doorbell camera or security camera covering your mailbox and porch? With my package from Amazon via USPS I had to go directly to Amazon because the USPS won't let you file for seven days, won't let you file at all for food items, and won't return it if they do find it. (This is what legalized government theft looks like, kiddies.) Amazon has a fairly short checklist of hoops to jump through before getting your refund, and I think having the Ring video for everything that actually is delivered definitely helps out. Although two or three times I've contacted Amazon when they've sent me something more valuable (received three books shrink wrapped together when I ordered & paid for one, ordered set of 7s guitar strings on clearance but received more valuable Dunlop Stainless Super Bright bass strings) so maybe I have a gold star and a red "Honest" next to my name. lol
