Lowest Priced New Basses Ever??

They have 130 feedback...and maybe half of those appear fake. Especially for a Chinese eBay account, 130 is nothing....that's a prime example of an account you should be extremely wary of. The only place robhe's name currently carries any kind of weight is on TB in this thread...or maybe another message board with a similar thread. If he/she actually delivers on all the instruments they sold in the last week or so, then you might have the start of something, but me personally, my guard doesn't drop on Chinese eBay accounts until they're many thousands in and over 99% positive. I've seen previously known good sellers with 500-1000 feedback and 100% positive turn scammy and take the money and run. In other words, that account has zero value at this moment in time. Worse, it looks like an account you'd particularly want to avoid with all the brand new account feedback.

You are probably right. The one thing that gives me a glimmer of hope is that robhe.. actually delivered basses to people who ordered from him over ebay. True, that was when they were selling for like $40 or something, but still, he actually delivered.

Also, his storefront still exists (though with nothing for sale) whereas ebay was quick to shut down daco.

Everything else about this seems to point to a scam, but we will see soon.

If the $35 basses hadn’t shown up, no one on TB would have gone for this batch.

I will be surprised if people receive their basses, but admittedly, I've been surprised with the effort robhe has put forth thus far if it's all a scam, responding to as many people as he has and giving current, active tracking numbers. I'm watching with interest to see how this all unfolds...

they were $35 previously. he ran out then just like this time.

There has been zero evidence of anyone receiving a $18 bass but several issues with tracking and other supporting evidence like emails not being answered which put theses sales has highly suspect.

The low price is both an incentive to buy ("It's cheap, what's the risk?") and a small enough amount so as to not raise too many red flags at ebay/amazon.

The seller sells a couple hundred (or thousand) at $18 each, pockets the cash, and ebay/amazon/paypal/buyers eat the loss. As much as several thousand dollars for a week's work- even easier and quicker if you had a team.

It's also not worth the hassle for many to get their money back. Especially if they figured a way to get phony delivery confirmations. Is 15-20 bucks worth the hoops one might have to jump through? For some, maybe... most, no.

Can't answer for Rocko but there are many of us here with $18 orders with all kinds of shipment trackings that seem to be heading our way. But there is a good chance those shipments may be like the one video punchdrunk posted.

My NJ USA order has not been marked shipped. If these fall through, it will be a clear cut eBay case for refund.

My China purchase is still in transit and not in the USA yet.

I only purchased from Robhe.

IMHO, I'm in the catbird seat on these. If any of the other orders fall through, I'll know to start action. If people are getting orders, then I just wait a bit longer.
