Lowest Priced New Basses Ever??

Interesting that some of you have it shipped from NJ, and yet mine apparently shipped to NJ.... I wonder if, for mine, it tracked the shipment from China to the warehouse in NJ, and it was then going to be shipped from NJ to my house?? Well, filing a claim with ebay gives the seller a few days to update me on what's going on.... we shall see....

I ordered from Robhe and I do have a tracking number starting with LW.

When I track my package it doesn't show any movement since March 1st after arriving at Guangzhou EMS.
I'm not worried yet.

I'm in much the same situation, although mine seems to have stopped moving on March 2nd. I've also sent two messages without reply since the tracking movement stopped. I don't have the warm fuzzies about this, but I'm also not overly concerned just yet. I've previously seen similar tracking inconsistencies in numerous Chinese pkgs.

Hi, I used to post a little here back when I did some gigs. But now I'm "retired" (I'm old and cranky) so I just drop in every now and then ...

Anyway, I ordered one of the guitars a few days ago and I've been following this on a couple of other forums but nobody seemed to be on the brink of getting one like you folks have. I do have a tracking number but that's it. The seller responded to my first email about if this was legit and he said, as you others have pointed out, that he has sold before. The second email was asking why the guitar was listed as a "Small Packet" item. He never responded to that and it has been several days now.

Yes I know it's less than $20 and yes, I know, eBay has my back and eventually I will get my money back ... but I still hope I will get something in the mail ...to my address ... and is a full-size guitar. Until then I will keep reading your posts.

I just wish I could be back on the stage again . But I understand there's one leaving at 2 p.m. LOL

mine stopped updating on the second, then updated yesterday - from new york. hopefully you'll see updates soon - and btw, i've seen plenty of inconsistencies from USPS tracking.

What the heck Robhe? You send me a $35 bass, but not an $18 bass? I even sent you those pics of my girlfriend that you needed to confirm my address. I though we was friends.
Me thinks this in in fact part of the scam. Get a few believers at a really low price, get some good feedback, then let it rip.

While I also bought two guitars from robhe8875, I also bought one from doco5259 in NJ. The following day after buying from daco5259, he had just been kicked off eBay, I noticed the tracking number he just gave me says “out for delivery” in West Chester PA. I live near Dallas TX. I called eBay and opened a case. I wake up this morning to email from eBay saying daco5259 is fighting the claim. He sure does have some nerve.

Why is eBay even considering this since it has yanked daco5259? I would call eBay, cite its own recent statements, and demand my refund be expedited.

As I mentioned elsewhere, eBay accounts get hacked by scammers all the time. Just because the Robhe account sold something legitimately once, there's no guarantee whoever is behind the username today is even the same person.

There are lots of ways a scam can play out. Typically they'll be sending the same tracking numbers to everyone who bought something, but my suggestion that people here compare tracking numbers was about as popular as if I'd suggested sharing your credit card info. So there's no reassurance for you guys until basses either start showing up or false delivery notifications start happening.

I really hope everyone who is waiting gets their basses, we'll just have to wait and see.

Ebay kindly e-mailed me that both my bass and the green strat have been delivered, with the helpful "order detail" link that goes to the page showing each being delivered somewhere hundreds of miles away from the "ship to" address on the same page.

I figure ebay will ask if I had contacted the seller, so I did that but don't expect to hear from Robhe. Will wait a few hours, then file a claim with ebay for my paypal refund.

NJ or China order? (Just so others know what to expect).
