We didn't receive shipping or tracking information from the seller. We're sorry you had a problem with your purchase, and we're issuing you a refund for this case.

This was a bass from seller qianlei_7541. I did not open the dispute, I had planned on waiting until Friday. It was all done by eBay.

The basses from robhe8875 still sit with order confirmation, but no shipping info. No response to my inquiry. I will open a dispute on Thursday (one week from order) if the status hasn't changed.

Meanwhile I got an email from the dude saying that they cancelled his account and he is trying to get it back up, and that all packages have been sent (and disinfected! lolz). Well, we will see.

I got that email, too. I laughed and binned it, as I already have my refund.

If they are actually underway (which I doubt, considering the tracking number given to PayPal showed movement 5 days prior to my placing the order), mine's gonna be free.

Is this what you folks meant by “cavity routing”? Looks like robhe8875 is trying to buy time to get his funds cleared.

i believe that senders can't control the packages once they're shipped, so i doubt he's trying to buy extra time. your tracking says "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility", so that's who's in control now. and i've usually had poor tracking from USPS. btw, mine shows no motion for three days, but still says it's due to be delivered today.

i've frequently had it happen where USPS tracking shows no changes, the item shows up at my door, and then suddenly USPS shows tracking for every step of the way, although it wasn't showing earlier the same day.

ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS), Processed Through Facility -> Your item has been processed through our facility in ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) at 10:52 am on March 7, 2020.

So let me get this right ...

If you've ordered but get no tracking number or no indication that your bass (or guitar) has been shipped you can call eBay and begin the refund process?

If you get notice your item has been delivered ... a galaxy away, you can then call eBay to begin the process?

But if your order is marked "in transit" you have to wait until the end of your delivery "window" before you can do anything? In my case that's April 7. Then eBay will tell me to try to contact the seller, who has ignored repeated attempts by me to get an answer, so that will take a few days. Then eBay will decide about my claim, which will take a few days, then my credit card will be instructed to give me a credit, which will take a few days, then at my credit card will actually issue me a credit, which will take a few days ...

All of these "a few days" add up to a lengthy headache I'd say.

That's it> I'm taking these sellers off my Christmas card list. No, they deserve it and I won't be talked out of it.

I am dying to know what is actually being delivered at these wrong addresses.
