i believe that senders can't control the packages once they're shipped, so i doubt he's trying to buy extra time. your tracking says "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility", so that's who's in control now. and i've usually had poor tracking from USPS. btw, mine shows no motion for three days, but still says it's due to be delivered today.

i've frequently had it happen where USPS tracking shows no changes, the item shows up at my door, and then suddenly USPS shows tracking for every step of the way, although it wasn't showing earlier the same day.

I just called eBay and what I said in my earlier post is pretty much correct. I have to wait until after my April 7 delivery estimate OR if I get delivery a 1,000 miles away before I can begin my refund attempt.

So, I just got a call from USPS.

They said my "bass" that was to come to Portland OR got shipped to:

1810 Wadsworth Way
Baltimore, MD 21239

And he said it weigh in at about 0.04 lb.

Next time, I'll put the Baltimore address in!

Yes, you have to wait until after delivery date, then open a case, they will give seller 3 days to reply to case, if no reply then ebay will give you a refund. If the seller disputes the claim ebay will look at the case and make a judgment for or against the seller. I'm waiting for my estimated delivery date to pass on a order that has not been marked shipped or given a tracking number. I have won a case where they shipped it to the wrong address after the seller disputed my claim. Time consuming yes but at least you will get your money back. Good luck!

Just another point: If you have a tracking number and it goes to the wrong address you do not have to wait for the estimated delivery date to pass, you can immediately open a case. If you want to talk to a ebay representative to open a case... go to Ebay homepage, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Contact Us, then go to bottom of the next page and there is a option for ebay to call you if you give them your phone number so you do not have to wait online for a person to respond.

They may not care for $17.99; but, based on the number of cases I would think eBay might turn this over for criminal investigation. USPS.com FAQs

Does anyone have an actual address (or identifiable location) for their delivery? I'd be curious to try to contact them and see if they respond with what they received. I am 100% it is not a bass or guitar. Just curious if there is a connection of any kind. Or just curious. I never said I was normal

Mail Fraud does not apply if nothing was actually shipped thru USPS. They used bogus or stolen tracking numbers.

Assuming robhe8875 is actually working a scam out of China, the USPS and all US laws are pretty meaningless. Nobody in China is getting prosecuted for eCommerce fraud.

Yeah, my guess is robhe bought or stole legit tracking numbers from completely unrelated shipments and attached them to his fraudulent transactions.

I suggested that earlier today to the eBay person. She just said that that is handled by the investigations department and there is nothing she can do on her side. She did note my frustrations on my account. What I should have done is asked to talk to somebody in the investigations unit or somebody who can do something. I just got the "unfortunately your item has shipped and you have to wait ..." blah blah blah.

While I agree with the general sentiment that the basses aren't coming, everything @pcake says is true and none of the tracking info in that post is evidence that it is a scam. The seller doesn't control the shipping delays and the USPS tracking is frequently unreliable.

So, not so much positive thinking than critical thinking. Just supporting pcake's good thinking. : )
