Lowest Priced New Basses Ever??

I ordered from rob and the shipping info says a small packet is slowly on its way to the US (I’m in Japan) so I have to wait until it’s delivered or after the shipping timeframe to file a refund claim.

In other news I finally found a good deal on an old ~1980/1981 Japanese P bass copy, a Tokai Hard Puncher, so I finally have a P bass! Cost a lot more than $20, but still reasonable for this quality at around $180. Love the neck shape on these, thick but not overly so.

tried to rotate those but couldn’t get it to work.
That is a really good deal. Excellent Tokai Bass!

In spite of a few party poopers and parade rainers, this whole thing has probably been the the most fun I've had on TB. Nearly everyone involved also seem to be enjoying the ride as well. I'm not sure if I've seen a thread where no one received any of the typical PC scoldings that are so prevalent in these parts. $20 is really a pretty reasonable cost of admission. I also think (at least in this thread) we should be able to "like" our own posts as well as those of others:D.

It was an interesting adventure and the most fun and interaction I've had on this forum in a long time. I started out GASing for a cheap project bass to mess around with then I bought a 2nd from the same seller. Both were invisible and delivered by the invisible delivery man driving an invisible truck as shown on my Ring telling me there was motion at my front door.
Ring #AlwaysHome

The happy ending was that it stirred my interest in getting another bass and I ended up buying that Rascally bass from another TBer. Now I have a new toy to play with while limiting my face to face interaction with humans.

Well I ordered a guitar (btw, I told you folks I was "out" of playing in bands then ao
Just an FYI:
Ebay customer support via phone is down due to the health crisis. The recording says to contact them through the website/app.
Wow ... that stinks but I guess it's expected. I hope they do answer the emails. As I said when I contacted PayPal a couple days ago the recording said the staffing was cut back and the email was obviously not answered by a human but by a robot that "read" several key words in my question and answered them with some stock, and totally unrelated, responses.

UPDATE BELOW: I just called my local post office and the "guitar" is being sent to Hot Springs, Va. I live in New York state so I will be calling/emailing PayPal to see if it can expedite my claim. The P.O. agent says any U.S. post office can give you the exact address or at least the zip code it's being sent to.

UPDATE AGAIN: Well I just tried to call PayPal and the customer service has been shut down for phone calls so I have to try the email route and that didn't go very well. I understand eBay's phone service has also been shut down.

Good morning, folks

Well, bit of an update. I checked my file and my "guitar" shows processed through facility USPS in New York, the state I live in. Which, going by other people's accounts, means my guitar will be shipped to any place other than where I live. The good news is that now that it has been in the state it will soon, I think, be delivered somewhere and when that happens I can call or email PayPal immediately and ask (demand) a refund, instead of waiting until March 21/22 as before. I've never heard back from PayPal so I am assuming the seller never complied with PayPal's request to be notified. And ... I just checked USPS tracking and it says the package should be arriving by Friday (March 20) so I may only save a day or so. I wonder if I can call USPS and get an address that the package is going to.

Just to cover my bases (get it ?) I emailed the seller, robhe8875 and asked for my $ back. Three days he has to answer me back. If not, I'll escalate it. I have another one "on the way" but that's not due to "arrive" until April 6th so I get to do this exercise again in a couple of weeks.
I would go ahead and call/email or whatever eBay now. my "arrival" date was Aprikl 7 so you may get news of an "arrival" very soon and can take action.

Well, as I said a couple days ago, the first black P w/amp I ordered are scheduled to be delivered Thursday. I'm pretty confident
I haven't seen any tracking movement on either piece in over two weeks.

My purchases have been just like yours. No movement or communication since 3/2/20. Out of nowhere, I received a USPS text update Sunday saying it had passed through Chicago and will be delivered Thursday the 19th. I'm fairly sure a "small packet" will be delivered to someone else somewhere far from my address. I used my office address, so I'll know one way or the other sometime tomorrow. My second order is showing movement also, but I don't have delivery date yet. It's be awesome to be the one that beat the odds, but I'm not holding my breath.

i'm sorry, but i missed your previous emails. did you open an ebay claim prior to this?

With the eBay phone center offline, it's
Best to go to the "eBay resolution center" and start the case there. (Then the timer starts).

I just filed yesterday.
I have another one in shipping limbo.

Of course this is the worst time, with a support staff working from home.
I’d think that the basic resolution process is automated, but its hard to expedite.
As long as the claim/case is filed, I’m sure it will get resolved.
