Loxx straplock screw too wide

So, I jsut recently purchased a Yamaha BB1025X and I also got a new set of chrome Loxx straplocks. I tried just swapping them with the strap buttons but I couldn't get them in more than a turn and a half.

Is this just an obvious "drill out the hole" solution? If so I think I'm going to take this to the guy who does my setups and have him do it for me. I would not trust myself with a drill.

First, try a little soap on the threads as a lubricant, if it's still too tight, Drill the hole a little larger. This should not be a serious problem.

So if you don't use the screw the thing is basically worthless.

You'll want to just drill the right size. LOXX were designed so that with most guitars you do not have to do this, but unfortunately due to the differences between manufacturers there is no single solution to this. Let me know if you have any questions or issues.

Soooo, I brought it in to my setup guy and all it took was some soap on the screw. Rocky, you were right!

Also, as a quick statement, these strap locks RULE. I've never been a fan of Schallers and I used to use Dunlops....but I don't think I'll ever use anything else.
