Loyalty to Any Specific Brand?

Personally, I really like the G&L stuff and I've owned four of them over the years. I recently branched out and got a Musicman Sterling though.

I thought we were only talking basses, but some have thrown in amps and some other stuff...so I will, too:
I am a total Mesa Boogie loyalist!
I don't own anything from any other company, as far as amps go. Guitar amps, also! They make all I need!

Four brands occupy my time and my money: Alembic, Brubaker, Ibanez, and Lightwave Systems. I have a feeling I'm going to move heavy into Roscoe over the next year after the few samples I've played.

At the end of the day, at this juncture however, I'd have to say Ibanez is my brand simply by virtue of their impact in my limited career, and I can accomplish everything I possibly might come up against with their line of basses. From a high end SR, to the BTB's and Groovelines, I am confident when I go on stage. Live, Alembics are better, and Lightwaves are better in the studio. But one brand? Ibanez.

Well if we do, my color would have to be white...although black is an acceptable alternative - in some cases. Something about a bright white finish + black hardware on an ultra-contemporary, 24-fret neck-through instrument just does it for me.

Not at all loyal to any one color, although I have to admit that after decades of resisting it, I really look good using a black/maple bass.

I'm mostly a Fender guy (4), but I also have a Ric, Gibson, G&L and Carvin. The Fenders get played the most due to my current taste in music and the band I play in.

I wish I had the money to buy enough basses from one maker to qualify as super loyal to that brand. However, I have been exclusively playing pre- and post-EB MM Stingrays since '99. I love 'em! (But have only been able to afford one at a time.)

I own different brands, but, I seem to have a kinship with my Carvin 5'er. And, I kinda, sorta pick it over my high-dollar vintage and boutique basses. There's something about that bass that "just fits". Go figure.

Seven basses and two guitars. Eight brands. So, no I guess not.

4 Lakland's, one Fernandes and an 80's Ibanez on the way... I'm loyal to Lakland because they fit me in a way that no other bass does, the electronics in the 94/02's is the most versatile I've ever used, and they are consistently good from the top of the line US made 55-94 to the Indonesian 44-01.

I don't know if I'd call it brand loyalty but I own two Fenders an Ibanez, a Schecter, a Galveston that was a gift, and an MTD and my favorite is the MTD because of the way it plays. I'd like to get another custom MTD and I can see myself selling off all my other basses except the 77 J bass which was my first real bass and going with MTD for the duration. I wouldn't call that brand loyalty but more I just found something I like that really fits me comfortably.

And Gas for a MTD.
