When I was a sensitive teen prone to feeling alienated and misunderstood, there was a Yes lyric that caught me, from "Starship Trooper" -
"Loneliness is a power that we possess to give or take away forever."
I'm not sure what it means, or if it really meant anything, but the idea that loneliness could be a kind of power and that we had control over it carried me through those awkward years.
Another one is from a Sixpence None the Richer song - in the chorus she repeats over and over...

That one kicks me in the chest every time.
