Mad Professor Bass OD???

This morning when I checked my email inbox, I saw an email from Custom Sounds with the words "BJF Blueberry Bass Overdrive" in the subject line (I'm at the top of the 3BOD list at CS)...

... and I got all excited.

Then I read the email saying that they had a BJF Baby Pink Booster for me.

Bummer. :eyebrow:

Yeah, that kinda stinks. Did you ORDER a booster?

I've been communicating with Jani at CS, he says I'm #6 on the list for BBBODs. At the rate it seems like they're made though, I'm expecting to hear from them in mid 2013. ;) Lol

That does make me wonder... how often does Bjorn actually make them, and how many does he makes when he does? If I'm #6, maybe you and I will hear from CS at the same time when Bjorn finally makes a batch... but I'm not really holding my breath. Maybe we should each order two just to inflate the numbers a little bit. lol

I've been emailing Jani pretty regularly since September... not once did he mention that the BJFE BBBOD is going to be discontinued. He told me I'm #6 on the list on 1/28, still no mention of it.

Truth is, I've kinda lost interest in the MP Blueberry and hope for a BJF... so, I'm saving up for a multi-band.

Maybe, if when the MPBOD finally hits the store and if it excels, maybe I'll become interested again.

BJF told he will not make the BBBOD anymore, but the same pedal is available next month as a Mad Professor pedal.

WOW Matt, I feel your pain! I know you have been "on the hunt" for a 3BOD for a long time!

I emailed Jani today to see if Bjorn would make enough BJFE Blueberries to complete orders for people on the mythical "list," but haven't heard back yet.

Oh well... I guess now I could order two of the MP BBBODs for less than the price of a BJFE, and have one for each of my boards. :ninja: lol

We just heard back from both customers on top of our 3BOD list and they will both take the pedals. You are now at 4th place on the list.

And there's no reason to worry, Bjorn said that he will continue to make them in the future as well. We have more on order so we'll surely get a pedal to you as well. :)

Wow, I don't know why I was told differently :confused:

Maybe they are just not adding to the waiting list but are filling orders for the existing list?

Also strange is the strategy on the MP 3BOD....on the Facebook page...besides that these were originally slated for release last summer...it went from late Jan-early-Feb-Late Feb and now early March. Yet while MP is very active on their Facebook page....they are not marketing the pedal at all and if you look, most inquiries about it are ignored.

BUT....the same person who told me BJFE will no longer make the 3BOD told me to look for the MP version and Mad Ape is clearly expecting some to come in.

All I can say is What the deuce? ;)
