I was counting on you being there as that Orange cab is something I really wanted to try. I'll let you know if we set another one up but it'll most likely be right here.
Sorry to disappoint! I don't think I would've fit the Orange in the trunk of my car anyways...

I'm up on the Northside - near Wrigleyville. I wonder how hard it would be to set one up in Chicago - I bet we'd get a good group to show.

I used to live on Addison and Broadway sometime around the turn of the century. Anyhoo, FWIW, and for future reference GregC who did make it down is your neighbor.
As to your questions, we rented a studio. Ended up costing about $60 for 2.5 hours (although we stayed longer). I'm sure you'd get lots of locals but not sure how many of us yokels would be willing to risk driving in the city. I have friends in Parkland and could probably impose on them to drop me somewhere. Maybe.
Yep, what Pedro said--I'm at Roscoe and Broadway, roughly. If I'd have known, you could have scored a ride, I think we would have fit your Orange cab in my back seat. You have a V4, right? I'd be interested in spending more time trying one, if you're cool with that.
The wheels are being very slowly set in motion for a Chicago event--we had a great one last year at Lakland. It'll take some time to work out, just keep checking this forum.
Pedro, that studio was pretty nice, and reasonably priced, too. Good choice!
Thanks Greg. If and when you guys set one up let me know. I'm not keen to drive in the city but I might bring an abbreviated selection and/or just my bass if Spinal is going to have a his Orange and a V4b available. 
greg, IIRC the drummer, jim(?), at the cream city event rents studio space in chicago. i got the impression its busy, but it may be worth exploring.
As a native Chicagoan, I'd be up for the trek if a Chicago GTG ever materialized. Pedro could even get to see my new toys - like the Phil Jones Bass Buddy or the Bettie Page fanfret bass.
When is that Baby-Bass coming?
It's not a Baby Bass, it's the scroll bass. I talked to Bruce last month to let him know I moved. He's really busy. Looks like it will be Fall now.
Maybe it wouldn't have to be RIGHT in the city (cause parking is hell anywhere) but perhaps in a close suburb. Let me know if you guys set something up near Chicago. I'll bring the V4B and the Orange cab 4 sho.
