Maggot Brain Chord Progression?

Most transcriptions I can find show Maggot Brain as a simple Em D Bm C progression, but when I play along with that it never sounds quite right on the second 2 chords. So I learned the arpeggios played during the intro note for note from the recording, it seems like the actual progression is Em D D/B Em/C (in the last two chords, the top of the arpeggio is the same as a D and an Em, with the bass/root playing the B then C ).
Anyone have thoughts or authoritative knowledge on this progression?

I just listened to this. I don't hear the A being played during the Bm chord, nor the B being played during the C chord, so I don't believe it is D/B and Em/C as you asked. What I hear is straight Em D Bm C.

By the way D/B is a less common way of writing Bm7, and Em/C is a C maj 7.

I hear these notes played in the arpeggios:

B B D F# D B
C C E G E C
So my thinking is since the top 3 notes played of the Bm arpeggio are D F# D (minor third - fifth - minor third), same actual notes as the top three in the previously-played D arpeggio, and the same scenario for the C and E arpeggio, that the bass was just being changed while maintaining the same chord...guess it's just picking the arpeggio out differently though...or both, or either, or neither, heh.

I think that's right. I agree with @dreamadream99 , I'd just call that Em D Bm C, and I'm not really hearing the sevenths of the Bm or C chords, though it could sound fine to add them if you want to play it that way.
