Mainstage 3 with Scarlett Solo - NO AUDIO?

Regarding the dropping out, when I switch to GarageBand everything works great without any dropping out, so I don't think their is any issues with the Scarlett, cables, or other hardware. If you think of something else, let me know. I appreciate your willingness to help.

What are your computer specs? How old is your MacBook and how much RAM/Memory are you running?
If it's older or only 4GB RAM it might just be struggling. Maybe adjust some of the memory settings to ease up the CPU load?
I have followed several of these videos (Sunday Sounds) regarding the CPU settings. They are intended for keys but the settings still apply to bass.

Something just came to me: I was running GB on an iMac, not my MBP. Sold the iMac and when connecting the Scarlett to my MBP now, I have to use an adapter to convert the Scarlett cable to my (Thunderbolt?) ports. I am wondering if it is the adapter that is the issue?

I will order a Thunderbolt 4 to Thunderbolt 4 cable and see.

Does this sound feasible?

I suppose it could, but I would think garage band would be doing the same thing if it was hardware related.

Garage band actually did it also now. I switched over and started playing through it and less than five minutes later it cut the audio out. I'm betting it's the adapter especially since it's pulling the power from the MacBook Pro. When I test out a one piece cable I'll report on here if it works or not.

Did you ever try your new cable?
I have gone back to my pedalboard mostly for actual church services but still using MainStage and the Scarlet for practice at home. I just figured out how to use some midi controls in MainStage for snapshots and switching patches.

Hi Furym. So sorry for not updating.
I solved my problem: I was powering the Scarlett with a cable that had an adapter so it would fit my USB port. I bought a new proper cable (all one piece) and it stopped cutting out.

now I can use GB and MS successfully!
