Maki's Two Cents (part 5)

Yo, Maki-
I've been researching the perfect buzz for long music-listening sessions--you know, the kind where your a$$ leaves the couch only to relieve yourself or get a drink, and you spend basically a whole day in front of the speakers (A rare thing, these days)....the kind of buzz where you can remain lucid, and remember the experience the next day....

Anyway, I've been doing Kava Kava, and a few beers, along with coffee at intervals, and it seems to be working pretty well. Ever tried the Kava? Any suggestions on how I may achieve the perfect balance??

It's the ska band.

Post-Scrpit: Do you know of any bands that sound similar to The Pinstripes?

Well there's a lot. Starting right back in the sixties with the Skatallites, old Toots and the Maytals, the Ethopians, the original Wailers (pre Bob), then of course from the eighties you've got bands like the Specials. Others that you might like. Aggrolites, Fat Freddy's Drop (their horn section kind of reminds me of these guys), there's also a local band out of Riverside, Ca called the Skeletones that I don't think gets enough love, of course, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Hepcats, Tokyo Ska Parade (out of Japan) and a bunch of others. There are too many to list of the top of my head. My two cents. :)

Link Removed?????

One bad thing about the internet is that everyone's schizophrenic delusions can be deemed just as valid as someone with artistic and creative vision. This is like a glimpse into someone's screwed up head. Everything plays out like a conspiracy theory and anyone visiting gets this weird uncomfortable feeling like they're on the outside of an inside joke, except it's not remotely funny. I don't have the patience for it. Although some of the artwork is kind of interesting. My two cents. :)

This looks like a keebler elf with a bad mold problem. It would be much better in your own two cent thread. Not mine. My two cents. :)

Just saying, not that you care, but that post has no value.

Of course, none of the stuff I have posted in OT in the past months does. Actually I haven't posted anything of value on this forum if you exclude the posts in the Effects forum telling people to buy a tech 21 XXL B.

TL;DR, what disease is causing me to listen to Limp Bizkit?

Thank you!!! :D

Thoughts on envelope followers?
And this-

You know. I had never noticed if there was a difference between an envelope follower and envelope filter. I must say that this is a new discovery for me. I'm looking into it since I'm looking at knocking my Q-Tron off my board in favor of another envelope. I've had that album for many years now. I have a few pedals that can get close to that sound. I found that many of my synths can cop that sound if I play them in the upper frets of my bass. My SYB-5, and my BMS will get close to that sound. My two cents. :)

Fixed.
