Malekko Diabolik - loudest pedal ever?!

It's insanely loud. I have the squish turned way down with the fuzz and clean usually somewhere between 10-2. If I turn the squish past 8 it will rip a hole in the space time continuum.
Greedtone OD is pretty insane > I have both the gain and volume around 7:30ish O'clock. As a last in the chain boost for guitar it's absolutely fantastic, just boost the volume and send your amp into fukushima.

I, too, have a malekko diabolik, and I agree: it's nuts! I really dig it. the controls are very sensitive, and I find it incredibly responsive to the bass's volume and tone settings (p-bass). it's also very responsive to your attack - where you hit the strings and how you hit 'em. it takes some getting used to and some experimentation. it's a fuzz monster that retains bass like nothing I've ever heard. i'm keeping mine. enjoy!
Well the fuzz channel doesn't have any real low end at all, but it does blend very nicely with the clean.
It's very sensitive to the bass used too, it doesn't react well to my BB1025X as the pickups are too hot, but it's a match made in heaven for my Precision.

It can also be used as a boost if you turn up the clean and turn the squish and fuzz all the way down.
The clean is clean, the fuzz is just high mids. As long as you get the balance right, it sounds like your normal bass with a layer of raspy fuzz on top, so no real low end less unless you have it set wrong.
I do usually prefer a bit more full range in the fuzz signal, but I'm digging this one.

Does loud mean "it amplifies the signal too much" - which does *not* sound like a good thing, unless that's what your rig needs.
Yes. Incredible extra volume on tap to the point that the pedal has to be completely dialed down to achieve unity gain.
Mine arrived in the mail today and it seems tame in comparison to my Swollen Pickle, anything past 9 on the "Loudness" knob is absolutely ridiculous!

If this is a "my pedal is louder than your pedal" thing, that seems pretty pointless to me - or am I missing something?
Well, there's always a point to everything. In the case of the Malekko Diabolik it is true that it's insanely loud, but it sits well in a mix. I'm totally not understanding Lethgar saying it sounded thin live. There is MASSIVE lows in that pedal! The Diabolik is the only pedal that I've broken my "move it if you don't use it rule." I still mainly use my Silicon B:Assmaster due to its versatility, but that Diabolik isn't going anywhere! This was that little loop I did:
Just saying it seems pretty tame to me, when comparing it to my other pedals. Definitely didn't want to start a loudest pedal competition if that was the vibe I was giving off.

Well, the real question to me is "Does it sound good?", wild volume or no.
