Honestly, prob the only wood I could distinguish in a blind play-test.

I love maple fretboards - particularly figured maple.

It's kind of a deal breaker, if a bass does not a have maple fretboard.


I just realised my rosewood basses outnumber my maple 3:1

I love maple fingerboards for a fretless. That bass has a bit of a Dusty Hill kind of vibe that is really cool.

Couldn't help myself. When I saw all these incredible maple-board beauties, I had to at least TRY to be a part of it...

...but damn, I need a better disguise next time I try to crash a party!!!

This thread came at a bad (or good?) time for me...i was recently thinking I need to own at least one maple board bass, even though I don't need another bass right now!

My only Maple necked bass 2014 Am.Std Precision bought this new & unseen/tried . Got really lucky with it though it's lightweight, with a great feeling neck .
