Well that, I'm about to get an amp and I hesitate between these 2. They have exactly the same components but one has the larger case and therefore weighs more. Obviously if markbass manufactures the two models it is because the audio varies. I suppose the older one sounds cleaner and with more bass... but my question is if the sound is much better to justify the greater weight and economic cost. Thanks in advance.

When I owned both the CMD121P and larger CMD121H combos there was a difference in the low end being more extended with the larger combo. This wasn't always better and sometimes sounded "boomy" in certain venues. There wasn't a discernible difference in volume but the smaller combo had a tighter more controlled low end response that I ultimately preferred.
As everyone ends up saying, only you can know which you'll prefer but I'm sure both are excellent combos.

I’ve only used the ‘H’ cab… still using an (older) CMD121P combo as my main amp… I would concur with @Sparky Mark that the ‘H’ is a bit boomier. I just got rid of it because I rarely needed it

But if I can say that I don't find a lack of bass at all in this one... yes, for me it has excess brightness, although that can be easily solved with equalization.
What if I have been able to compare it with the Markbass Mini CMD 121P IV of a colleague and I have to say that they are very different.
EQed everything to 5 and old school to 0 mine sounds more open, more bass and treble and less mids. It sounds less compressed.
Mine is bigger although it weighs 2 kg less.
The fan on mine makes a lot more noise.

I chatted with reps from Guitar Center and Musicians Friend today. GC is supposed to have the MB58R Mini CMD 121 Pure by 12/8/23 and MF by 12/23/23. I'm considering reserving one and my card won't be charged until it ships. I'm also interested in the Mini CMD 121P IV. Does anyone know if there is a difference in sound between the two? I expect some differences because the amps and the cabinet material and sizes are different.

Nice! I had looked into the “pure” 121p in a store in Portugal, and they quoted 1299 euros.
They didn’t have one in the store to check out, unfortunately.
That version is about 1/3 lighter (22 pounds vs 31 for the IV). I used an older 121p for about 10 years as my main amp, and am really interested in checking out one of the new lightweight Pure versions.

I just realized I’m looking at the “mini” version, which comes with a 300 watt power section, instead of 500.
The Markbass Italian website can be a bit confusing, lol. I suppose the feat of getting a 12” speaker in a 22 pound combo enclosure necessitates the smaller amp, but I ‘d be loathe to pay $300 more for 200 watts less just to save 10 pounds on an already compact cab.

58R CMD is slightly larger, CMD IV older Cab material and Amp design

58R has FX loop and DI out on front panel if you use either it is good feature for Combo's also no tuner out

Cool! I looked over the 5 different cmd121p combos on offer. Was kinda intrigued by the one with the ceramic 12,
for the great price of $649 on sale. But then i saw it had a 150/300 watt amp.
The Pure combo was 999.99 but there’s a 15% labor day weekend sale price, making it effectively $200 more for a 300/500 watt amp, loaded with a 400 watt neo 12. And it’s 2 pounds lighter….but none of them seem to be in stock.
I’m thinking of ordering the Pure, and then selling my Micromark 8.
One of the things I wish they had done on the new design is to put the port in the front.
