Not out yet mate - although the Bass Centre and GAK have them listed and will apparently be getting them in a couple of weeks.

Digital Village also have them listed. Don't be tempted to order them yet, among others, GAK and DV are notorious (IME) for listing products that they don't have in yet, and not notifying you until you chase them up a week after placing your order to find out where your stuff is!

I'm looking forward to it, but AFAIK they have not been available for sale anywhere really yet.

I read your review of the Compressore and went to the Mark Bass website, where I saw the Distorsore... which looked damned intriguing!

Any idea when they may be released?

Anyone heard anything about when this thing is coming out? "Coming in 2009" is starting to look like BS!

It's not like there was a shortage of overdrive in the bass World.
Waiting for a couple months isn't going to kill anyone. It just gives time to build a hype.

There's a demo on the Markbass website.
    It looks interesting.
    Anyone tried it?

...And once again we see that the model shown on the retail websites is very different from the one shown on the Markbass site. GC image: 4 knobs and a DI out. MB image: 7 knobs (6 with one stacked) and no DI.

The tones in the demo video didn't do anything for me, but I'll still want to try it in person.

I just noticed the smaller one has two tubes, and the larger has only one. Odd, no?

that smaller one with 4 knobs is pre-production version. the version that is in sale (in US and Europe and everywhere else) is the larger one with added compressor and without XLR output.

the clips didn't do anything for me.
having said that i do like the look of the 4 knob version better because it has no compression involved!

All distortion compresses your signal. Some distortions compress more than others, but there is no such thing as distortion with no compression. The 7-knob version here just optionally has more compression available.

There's one available used (already!) on MF for $175, and they're having a 10% off sale right now. Just in case somebody here was willing to take the bullet for us, but didn't want to pay full retail. I'd do it myself but I just ordered three new pedals in the last two days. :p

generally for me, less knobs means simpler as far as drive goes.
of course i knew about the comp / drive thing- i just worded it badly.
