Markbass Distorsore Pedal

There's one available used (already!) on MF for $175, and they're having a 10% off sale right now. Just in case somebody here was willing to take the bullet for us, but didn't want to pay full retail. I'd do it myself but I just ordered three new pedals in the last two days.

I'm in Canada so they only way that I could get this pedal anyway is if one came up used as MF ships all used gear here (but not all new due to distributor rights)..

The guitar store near me that carries Markbass said that they won't even be stocking these because they'll be $300+ and MF is selling them for below their cost!

I'm glad you got it. I nearly went for it (had it in the cart twice) but $25 more for a new one isn't a big deal to me so I can wait a bit until I've decided. And if this is the best and cheapest way for you to get one up north then so much the better!

Just got that 'used' Distorsore in the mail from MF today! It is indeed the single-tube version with the built-in compressor. Ballin'

Can't wait to try her out tonight..it might get loud!

Wow, i gotta say the built in band pass (high pass/low pass) has me excited, just cos that's awesome in and of itself. That and a compressor in one pedal? Crazy.

What I wonder is how it sounds like clean with just the high / low / comp used.

Anyone know what the low/high slopes are? Assuming they are probably pretty shallow.

Doh, it looks like that high/low might only be on the distortion effect. Man, how cool would it be if you could do both?

I used this pedal for 2 or 3 weeks now. Here's my impression.

Well first thing first : I'm no expert on distortion pedals. I was looking for something that could help me sound like Twiggy of Marilyn Manson, something like this :
really helped me understand how it works, and how each knob is affecting the signal.

I could post a review on Youtube, but I'm afraid "meye frenche accent" will prevent some from understanding.

I have a littlemark tube 500 watt head and like it a lot. I just got a Distorsore Pedal and I don't know what to think. My MM sterling has too much gain for this pedal. I can't get a subtle overdrive. I think they could have done better for the price of this thing.

After I wrote the last post, I did some tinkering with the Distorsore. You can really reduce the overdrive with the compression and get a nice sound when you mix it in with the dry signal.
