Hey Bugs.....
Interesting I just meet up with someone that had the 4 X 10 and loved it with His Jazz bas but the Low B on His Dingwall (37" scale B) farted out on the lower notes.
Granted I need to hear this, however I trust his ear and I'm now leaning towards the EPi 4x10.
I would love to heat Tony and K take about the Epi 4x10 a B with the MKII.

I got a chance to check out a minimark last night, I cant believe the volume that thing puts out for a tiny little thing.....just two knobs too...volume and the vpf....
Was that a 410CL or one of the other MB cabs?
Since the CL cabs are sealed, I guess they sound very different from the Epi cabs

He told me it was the ported 4x10 so I'm taking a healthy guess that its the 104HF.
Its from another TB-er that I meet in person.

Well, after having my LMII for about a week now, I can say that it has met or exceeded all of my expectations. Now, many people have said they just couldn't get their favorite Rock tone from this amp, but after a bit of tweeking with the Lo Mid and VPF I nailed my rock tone perfectly... Thumpy, dryish and agressive. I've also added an MXR M80 in the loop, effectively giving me an additional 2 channels; "Clean Slap" and "Dirty Fingerstyle" , with the dry signal from the LMII being the allrounder.... Couldn't be happier with this arrangement..... I have however, had no luck at all getting my LMII to successfully mate with my NV610. When I plug it into my rented Genz Benz 410 this amp can punch a hole straight thru a brick wall, but I just can't make it work well with any sealed cabinet....
Has anyone tried this amp with the new Bergie HS410? I'm getting this cab no matter what (and hoepfully taking delivery next week) but I'm just looking for a preview..... Either way, within a week of getting the Berg, I'm hoping to post my full review of the cabinet. I'll be using the LMII, an Ampeg Svp, and a Millennia TD-1 ( a loaner, sadly).... And testing each on the gig and in the studio (mic'ing). Hopefully the coming review will be of some use since I haven't seen too many yet. If anyone has paired these two already, please share your thoughts!!

I`ve had the 104HF for almost a year now, and this cab is pretty loud, as loud or even louder than any of the other 410 I`ve played and owned. The Epi 410 is rated a bit higher, 1000watts I think, so I guess it is a bit louder than the 104HF.
But the 104HF is not a weak 410. And my Sadowsky 24/5 has a very good B too.
Cab wattage isn't what decides the loudness of a cab. Sensitivity is a better guide/indicator. It can still be misleading though!
I agree on that, like I said, I was only guessing. I have not played the Epi cab

Just found out that there is one in Boston so I will give a report from my own ears.

next week I am playing live for the first time with my LMII, and am wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages to using for a DI to FOH PA....
1. LMII head (stock) or
2. MXR M-80 (last in my fx chain)

I've been using the DI out with great results. It worked fine tonight and got a nice full sound that pretty much mirrored was coming out of my UL310 cab on stage.
There was a buzz when I first plugged it in and I was about to trip, but it went away when I turned the unit on. Worked flawlessly!
Thank you Illinois and Florida.....I'll give the DI on the head the first try through the PA.
I'm actually lucky that I have a built in back up (in addition to my MXR M-80)...I use a Genz Benz 200 combo amp for my synth rig on-stage monitor/amp, running that DI to FOH..and I could always run my bass through it (from my small Yamaha mixer) if I had to.
The LMII has been a refreshing change from hauling around a huge amp along with all the rest of my bass and synth gear.
