Send a mail to music123 through their pricematch link... ask them for their best price. They've always been able to do better on price for me when I've done this (usually in the 10-15% range). I've also gone back to MF for them to match a price I got from music123 *after* I ordered from MF, and they refunded the difference. Odd how what is essentially the same comp[any will operate in different ways, and even compete with each other.

EDIT: Just saw that you mentioned they're on backorder, so my thing above likely wouldn't work unless in stock as well. Wow, those didn't last long.

Has anyone tried to use the Super Synth as a straight envelope filter? I remember when I had the Deep Impact I was able to make a patch that came pretty close. Also, from what I can see from the Software pics, it looks like a lot of the controls for the Super Synth are the same as the Deep Impact.

Unfortunately, the Super Synth won't work as an envelope filter - there's no way to route the dry bass sound through the filter section.

Shame, that would be very useful. I suggested it to MarkBass along with a load of other comments - never heard anything back...

Please help me with this! Synth owners.

So i have been seeing almost all videos about the pedal and it comes with 4 knobs.

Now that i go look for it at GC or MC or Music123, they all have only 3 knobs.

Is that the only one available? is that the one you guys have received?

I was wondering how well this pedal works with active basses, haven't really seen comments about passive vs active through this pedal. I have a Fender American Deluxe Jazz V which has an 18volt preamp, which I know mainly translates to longer battery life, but it is also has a lot of output. wondering how it would affect the sound?

I generally use a buffer pedal on my board so I can easily switch between active/passive if needed, but in my limited use without the buffer when I first got the SS pedal, I didn't encounter any really noticeable issues while using an active bass. The fact that it has a Gain setting would seemingly allow you to adjust for your bass's output as needed. I didn't play with it enough using a passive bass directly to see how it's affected by impedence, but it seems to work/react fine either way and with my buffer pedal simulating more of a passive load as well.

just got my SuperSynth today and installed the software.

Now, I can't get any connection to the device.

When I plug in the USB cable, a dialogue about a new modem device is popping up on my MAC.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

PP2+ works quite well with my EHX BMS, though I ran that at 24V. Which brings up another question... I wonder if the SS can run at 24? Guess I'll send an inquiry to the Mark folks unless someone else that has already done so can chime in here.

Not sure if this answers your question but in the users manual it says that it's meant to be run with 12V @ 550mA minimum.

I really would love to get this pedal but I'm wondering how I'd make it fit with my others on my PT-JR. Maybe I should upgrade to a PT-2?

Well, I don't. It's working pretty fine with my MacBook, I just have to remember to save settings quite often cause every now and then pedal loses connection.

Maybe you should install software again and re-start your mac.

Edit. Actually it is annoying when in the middle of editing it loses connection.

Price and the way it works with the computer has put this the top of my list for my next pedal. It beats out the Octavius Squeeze in this instance because the OS has a cruddier interface controlling the synths IMO. Also the the OS, requires a really high output DC adapter that won't let me drive it from the power supply on my pedal board. An extra hassle IMO.

So I'm cleaning up my board to make room for one of these.
