By the way, Even Stryper has moved on from their stage outfits. They are touring this year and no longer dress like that. Here's a picture of them today. Do ya think we can all grow up and forget about those old yellow outfits? Don't make me pull out silly pictures of 1960's Swedish bands now! LOL :laugh:

This is the bass I was referring to is from an outstanding company called Cort, cousin to Ibanez. I'd love to have one of these. If you read my full post you'd see I was not referring to MB. I happen to be watching one of these basses on the Bay from an Australian music store that will ship to the United States.

I did understand what you were saying, and am familiar with the brands. I was just making a small joke, that if something is being sold exclusively into markets like Russia and Australia, there is usually a reason for it, things like IP, build quality etc. Good luck with the purchase, I'd offer to recommend some music stores, but I don't think any of the places I deal with are Cort stockists.

I wouldn't buy anything from the Russians. But wife and I have a fondness for Australia and hope to drop by someday. My father served in the Army in the Philippines with General MacArthur and the Army Troops took their rest and recreation in Sydney. Dad said after R&R in Sydney with all the beautiful girls he needed some rest! LOL! Needless to say Mom didn't find that too funny. Also watch Crikey an Australian animal show on Animal Planet, which is great.

Nothing like a good movie quote, like one of my favorites. This one came from the original Star Wars where Solo, Skywalker, and Princess Leah are in the trash compactor about to be squished. “ Somebody do something” and after it gets jammed “Let’s get out of here”. Just where were they going to go? They are on a Death Star in the middle of the universe....and no wheels! Lol.

Just another jazz design. I wonder when someone is going to come up with something else. I know they are the best selling design out there but hopefully they will keep pushing towards more original designs. That would be really great. We need more variety in bass body designs. The kilamanjaro or however it's spelled is pretty cool.

I tried them a couple of times when I had a chance and came away unimpressed. So I think that might have weighed in as to their fate if others felt the same way.

I take a very critical view of the evolution of Markbass and I am totally unimpressed by these Namm offerings. The latest cool product was the very tiny Nanomark. Otherwise they are just re-launching the very same amps and gadgets with one additional knob here and there.
I liked them much more when they were really innovative and didn't offer 103 mindless new gadgets every year.

How long does it take to ship from Austr.?
Looks MUCH further away than Russia.No?
I don't know anything about paypal protection etc.:)

Hi @Jeff Scott if you were in Rare Blend you are one of the rare recording artists on this thread then my apologies to you. BTW I did do an album called Will Hanbury, Jr. Souvenir which is distributed through Amazon and Apple. BUT, it's not a full band. It was really created as a souvenir CD for tourists coming to Alaska with old-timey songs we used to play in saloons, featuring my singing. But good for your sir. Where can I hear some of your music?

PS: How many of us can fit into our pants from our early 20's? :laugh: Ummmm not me..

The shipping time from Australia to Alaska is less than the shipping time from Russia to Alaska? That cannot be right. Also, Paypal protection is for six months/180 days.
