They look like somebody graphically combined Skjold and Zon basses. So, not much originality there.
Looks aside, guess we’ll have to wait and see whether they are a me too product or bring something fresh to the party. For the moment, I don’t see much that makes them something to go out of the way for.

Probably the same Chinese guys who make fake Foderas on AliExpress.
I didn't even see that, what an incredibly bad business decision. Three quarters of the market won't even be able to find it.

I've seen him in concert videos with MB amps and what looks like this new Kilimanjaro bass. He presents the brand well.
Bashing on new Markbass products that nobody has even tried yet.

I was thinking the same thing, but I like the shape of the Skjoldslayer much better ... it might look a little better if the bottom horn matched the upper horn. It just looks weird to me.
I love my Compressore and my LM Tube 800. Both made in Italy. Most Mark amps are not special, like how a Fender Rumble is not a Fender Bassman. I have played some Mark gear at GC that I liked, regardless of where it was made, but I didn't like it enough to purchase it. To be fair, I'm not really in the market for 'yet another class D head in the official class D head sized box' market.
There's nothing inherently better about an Italian on an assembly line vs an Indonesian on an assembly line making these amps. In all reality, Italy is essentially a third world country. I think for the prices they charge, Markbass could afford to keep production in their home country, they chose not to and that's what bothers me. Many other manufacturers have done so also and I choose only to buy their products used.
None of this really matters anyway unless they announce a lefty model. I am mildly interested in the preamp, but I may be more interested instead in that lefty Cort posted if it ever makes it to a western country. And even then my interest is only mildly piqued.

I agree with your first sentence, not with the second. A rapid search o Google will let you know that average salaries are about 10x higher in Italy than lets say Indonesia. Here is were production costs kick in.
