I'll probably have a finished, shielded body to show sometime next week. I'm busy, and the weather sucks.
So here we are... polished this baby today... it's not perfect but looks decent enough under normal lightning... three foot rule need apply!...it looks like a bass a few years old!
shielding is done and the seams have been welded. Bridge and bridge ground wired are on. It's midnight now.

One of the best telebass projects ive seen, not too extreme, just enough of the old school feel combined with modern style. Dig it.

good to see this one finished. i still love the look - kind of turbo charged old school. sounds great too, nicely balanced.
Warmoth usually has some unpainted 51 P bodies in their Showcase section for like 150$ 
And they'll do the extra MM route for free to boot.
